If I add a kid's meal to our DDP meal, is that a huge pain?

My 2 year old can eat like an adult sometimes. I'm sure there will be lots of food with my 9 year old being an "adult" (we paid for her to be a 10 year old in tickets and ddp) but I know the 2 year old loves mac & cheese.

So, if I order an extra kids meal and pay for it OOP, will our server have to ring it up in two checks - do I need to let them know everything before we pay? Is it a big pain? (I hate to inconvenience anyone)

Yes, you would tell the server that you want to also purchase a child meal "for my two year old, who is not on the Dining Plan". That will ensure that the server knows to create a separate check for that charge. It's not a big deal, as long as you let them know in advance (when you order is best).

Do note that they will automatically add the standard Dining Plan gratuity to the cash charge, as is standard Dining Plan policy, so you need not add any additional gratuity on top of that.

I am sure you are mainly talking about TS places. You won't have a problem. Before we order I notify our server that we are on the dining plan and if we are paying for anything out of pocket. We haven't had a problem. If you tell them that you are on the plan it saves them having to go back and rering up the bill once they find out. Even if you told dining you were on the plan, we found that our servers didn't always know.

Seriously, it's not a hassle AT ALL to add something to your meal. They'll run your credits through on one bill, and charge the extras to your room. They have to do this for all alcoholic beverages, so they're pretty used to it. Don't worry that you're inconveniencing anyone--just go and have a good time.
