If have no points available, can you still see resort availability?

Was wondering how this scenario would work: assume that after we get our points loaded after closing, we book something at our home resort (using all of our points). Then once we are within the 7-month window, can we see what availability there is at other resorts? Or will this be a problem because we have no points currently available? Not knowing how the DVC booking system works, was not sure if we would need to cancel our home resort reservation first in order to see the other availabilities.

You’ll be able to search even if you’ve used all of your points.

Why yes you can even see what's available at all resorts, all the time.

As long as you aren't trying to look for greater than 11 months out, you can look at all the resorts even without any points.
