If Disney Reads the Dis - RACE SUGGESTION...

Run Disney & Disney Cruise Line should host a 1/2 marathon on Castaway Cay. Now that would be cool!!!
I know they do the 5k - but it is very unofficial. It would be cool to have an official race.

That is what I was thinking...it would end up being a really boring race because you would see the same things over and over.

Castaway Cay is 2 miles by 3 miles. So, it'd have to be a loop course of four times around the island and then another mile. And there would have to be a very strict time limit of 13 minute miles or something like that, to ensure that people didn't get lapped.

True. I think it would be a lot better if they had the dopey type of thing...the 5K as usual at Castaway Cay and then WDW Marathon Weekend - either before or after. I think after would probably be better since it would be a nice to recuperate on the DCL.

yes I'd say after, as there are all the logistics/etc before the marathon.
