I wouldn't have known my waitlist had come through! I made a VWL reservation in Sept. for our August trip. However, we are taking my parents, DB & SIL who haven't been to WDW in over 10 years (never for SIL ) and thought they'd really enjoy being in an Epcot resort. DF loves Epcot and still talks about the trip from 1990! Anyway, when I called in Jan. at the 7mo mark, I was told that the studio would be available at BCV, but not the 2bdrm. I decided to waitlist the whole reservation so as not to take a chance of being split up at two different resorts. Well it has been almost 2 months, and I hadn't heard anything. I had DH call today while he was home and the reservation had already been changed in the computer, but I've received no confirmation of that! Has this happened to anyone? I'm going to call tomorrow to make sure my room requests are still all set and request that they send me a new confirmation letter. I wonder how long ago the change went through???

If you told them to just go ahead and book the waitlist, they won't call, but, will send you a new confirmation within 7-10 working days.

My waitlist came through last week for one day of my ressie. I was calling daily to check availability for our June trip and the rep told me my waitlist had come through for May. She said the calls were going out. I was waiting on an additional day so I opted not to confirm the waitlist until I received a call 2 days later. So it can take a few days for them to notify you (if you opted to be called first) after your dates become available. They will hold it until you are notified and confirm.

i am sure that if you request that they do book it if it becomes available they dont phone you just post conformation

They will if you request it. However, it is not a normal routine.

I suspect you'll get the confirmation in the mail soon. DH probably happened to call after the wait list came through and before you got the confirmation.

They've always mailed me one.

I called and requested the written confirmation. MS said that I should be receiving one shortly anyway, but she would make sure it was sent. I asked her what the weather was like (to torture myself I guess) and she took great glee describing the beautiful weather to me....It was 22 degrees and snowing here
