I would like to know:
Ship?
Original deck or cabin number?
New deck and cabin
How far in advance did you book your cruise?
How far in advance did you get word of the change?

Also let’s see about Tweaked:
If you stayed on your original deck but had been tweaked a few rooms.
How far were you moved?
How far in advance did you find out your cabin changed?

This is trying to figure out cabin changes after the start of Covid.

I can't answer any of those questions, but I can say that decks 2 and 5 are still blocked off on the Dream. Deck 2 seems to be the quarantine deck. Deck 5 is being used for vendors and new employees and anyone else that's new to the ship. I found this out because those people were gathered with us back-to-backers in Pub 687 at the end of the first cruise. They each had their own room on deck 5, they all had work ID cards displayed, and they all reboarded the ship after a PCR test in the Inspire tents. The DCL officer guiding us through the back-to-back process knew them all by name, too, so they'd probably done this a few times already.

I booked in opening gold day for a Magic transatlantic. I requested deck 2 got room 2020. And it’s the side and area I have learned to love. Pretty sure I’m going to lose that room. But I do so well there with my sea sickness(which I start getting sick right at the dock…ugh) I booked it before we got back to sailing at all.
I was on the Fantasy last month and everything was blocked off near enchanted Garden.

I booked on Opening Day connecting Deck 2 inside midship rooms on the Wonder (don't recall exact numbers, but somewhere under Triton's, generally). We got moved to Deck 6 Forward ocean view rooms approximately one month before sailing.

I'm booked on the Dream on Feb 28 and I'm still in stateroom 5540. Fingers crossed I don't get moved?

That’s in the front of the ship right? I had heard it only the back of deck 5 so maybe your safe.

Ship? Wonder
Original deck or cabin number? GTY 10C (only available on decks 1 or 2)
New deck and cabin: Deck 5 Navigator's Verandah
How far in advance did you book your cruise? December 2020 for March 2022 sailing.
How far in advance did you get word of the change? Just finally assigned the cabin on Tuesday (about 18 days out)

Knowing that our GTY's category is only available on Decks one and two meant we were sure we were going to get moved up to a higher deck. We have the same situation coming up in May but I think there's a chance that by May they may be using at least parts of the lower decks again. Mixed feelings about that. I'd love to get bumped up by 7 categories again, but I'd also like things to be getting closer to normal by May.

We once had a room under Tritons. It was horrible. Every night from 11pm-2am it sounded like bowling balls being dropped above us. Assuming it was the restaurant/kitchen being cleaned. We've stayed on deck 2 of the Wonder before, but weren't under the restaurant. I'll never book a room under a restaurant again.

What cabin? Was it 5 aft or fwd?

Bumping to see what happened over the last 4 weeks as Covid (improved?)
I would like to get additional current data for March/April or past February reservations for Deck 2 or Deck 5 aft used for Covid patients and quarantine.

I had not seen anything about Deck 5 not being available - I had seen about Deck 2 for quarantine. We booked on the Fantasy in April an extended Verandah stateroom that it said was only on Deck 5 (Category 04E). We specifically wanted that balcony space.

As late as February, part of deck 5 was being used for contractors and new employees who needed to quarantine. A whole bunch of them got off with the back-to-back cruisers and then tested and got back on board.

I thought back of the boat was so if a veranda family had Covid they could still use the veranda. Figured back of the boat was way to keep the virus down wind of the ship.

I am currently assigned to deck 2 for a cruise on the Wonder in April. Haven't heard anything about moving yet.

I'm booked VGT (whatever the category that would put me on deck 2 is) on the Transatlantic, too! I'm a fan of deck 2, but would usually love the idea of a bump. But on this particular cruise it makes me wary due to ALL the sea days. I don't always get sea sick (it seems to depend on many factors) but I really DO NOT want to risk it on this one.

You must be booked either OGT or IGT as Deck 2 does not have any verandah cabins or VGT on another deck...usually VGT starts as a 7A navigator's verandah. We had 2 cabins booked as VGT 7A on the Magic in January and were bumped up to 5B 7100 and 7102 connecting cabins with our friends.

Everyone is different, but if it gives you any comfort my experience with the EBTA was the ocean was smooth as glass. Obviously that can all depend on weather and sea conditions, but it does seem like the EBTA is generally a nice cruise. Now the WBTA..... well there is a reason they changed the current route to head more south.... That was an "experience".

Hopefully you get the cabin you booked, but if not, I hope you have a smooth trip!
