If at first you don't succeed...try again!

I'm singing, and jumping, and celebrating! We were 'pondering' going to the world in May of this year I had had a couple of pins, but they expired in Dec and we didn't know dh's vacation time yet.

We Love, love, love CBR, but due to our family of 5 would need 2 rooms.
I called the first week of January, got the Spring Offer for 1108. per room. Not too bad, though not great.

I called again, checking out deluxes and All Star/PO for suites and to see if any pins were attached to my name. Nope, nothing but the spring offer.

Since CBR still looked like the best bet, I called today.

To my dismay, the Disney rep said $1900 per room for Spring rate. When I questioned her she said "Yep, that's the rate". She was not very kind, took 25 minutes JUST to check on CBR's availability, and then told me the whopper price. I hung up, told Dh about her, and thought "Ok, I'll try one more time".

OH MY WORD!!! The next rep was WONDERFUL! When I asked about CBR, CS, she said "Oh, let me check, and YOU have a pin by your name!" Now, 20 minutes prior, the lady before told me the best she could do was $1900. Wow and Wow!!! Now the price was just $1023. per room. I didn't ask about a pin, because I was told a week and a half ago, no pin or other discounts.

So, the moral to our story???? Try, try again. I was as nice to the last rep as I was all the other ones. I don't know WHY we got that pixie dust, but I'll take it!!! Keep trying!!!

Thanks! I posted because I know there are many like myself (when we first started going in '92) that didn't know to 'call back' and try again. Some ppl just think they've talked to the cm, that what they say is correct, and never try again. So, here's to try -try-again! Pixie Dust Everyone!

Just for future reference if you get a pin and you don't know your vacation dates go ahead a book something. You can change the dates after the pin expires, and still keep your discount. I'm glad things worked out in the long run.

I will say, in all the years of calling WDisney, I haven't had such a difference in pricing. I knew something was amiss with this 3rd cm, and wonder if she'd just had a bad day and didn't really care.

When I shared with the last cm what the previous cm had told me, I told her it was a good thing I wasn't asked for a survey at the end...to which she replied "NO, it's a good thing for THAT cm that you didn't fill out a survey".

But I've learned with booking hotels in the past, it DOES depend on who you get sometimes, and so, I try, try again!

YOU are so right! The problem this go 'round was that we had booked a 'dummy' cruise before Dec 14, '11 and I'm kind of a 'one-track' girl and wondered whether a trip to the Kingdom would even come to fruition. I should've done that! I lost free quick service dining (I think) but in the end, still feel like I got a great deal, but lesson learned!

This disneychik is still s-o-o excited!

Thanks! I think it's a pretty good deal. Saved about $200 off their spring deal, and after searching and searching, we're pretty pleased!
