Okay so we have 7:00 dinner reservations at Cinderellas castle on one of the nights of MNSSHP. I know my husband and I are planning on taking my daughter that night to the party and I'm planning on buying tickets. My question is if other people in our party dont have the tickets for the party will they be asked to leave as soon as we're done eating or do you think anyone will notice if they dont leave and decide to stay? We are traveling with my sister who is in her 40's and doesnt have kids and my parents. My dad and sis aren't sure they want to do the party, but if they are already there and decide to stay will it be a big deal?

People who don't have party tickets will be escorted out of the park by a CM. We had 6:30 dinner reservations at BOG on a night of MVMCP last year and while we certainly weren't rushed through our meal or anything, they were careful to escort us out.

You might also want to check about having a 7:00 reservation without having party tickets. That might be a problem, but I can't speak from experience on that one so I'll leave it to more knowledgeable people to address.

They check for the wristbands along the parade routes, as you enter rides, shows, etc. After dinner those without tickets will not be allowed to go back further into the park and may be escorted to the front of the park.

They can either decide not to go and leave after dinner, purchase tickets in advance and go with the family for the festivities or see what they think and buy them that night if still available.

FWIW I am well into my 50s and enjoy the party without children.

And yes the 7:00 PM ADR might be a problem for those without tickets...additionally I am not sure you want to spend an hour or more at dinner on a party night...the party is hard to get through in the alloted hours and spending time eating a full meal during it is considered a time waster by many.

Another thing, if you ARE planning to attend the party that night, I don't know that I'd make a 7 pm ADR as the party starts at 7. Dinner at the castle could take up to 2 hours and I know I wouldn't want to waste 2 hours of party time!

Just to forewarn you, but threads asking whether it's okay for people who have not paid to attend MHSSP to stay for the party never go well. In general, it's highly frowned upon here on the Disboards and against Disney's rules. In truth, I'm not sure why anyone would think it was okay to stay for an event you didn't pay for. It'd be like asking if it would be okay if you sneaked into the Magic Kingdom one morning without a ticket. I don't really see how this is any different.

In terms of the dining, anyone is welcome to have a dining reservation for before 7:00 pm. After you finish eating, guests without a wristband for the party will be escorted to the front of the Magic Kingdom. If you are planning on going to MNSSHP that night, most folks recommend against having a 7:00 pm ADR. You'll end up spending 1.5 - 2.0 hours of the party at the meal and that would mean missing out on a good chunk of party time. Most folks aim for an early ADR (e.g., 4:30 pm) so they'll be done before the party starts.

They may or may not be able to join you for the 7pm dinner.

My first MNSSHP ever (2 years ago now) I was waiting for the first parade (might have been the Magic, The Memories and You gong on its has been awhile) and a family came out of Crystal Palace who had just finished dinning but did not have tickets for the party. The cast member escorting them to the front of the park was not rude but very stern with them every time they tried to stop and take pictures or linger.

As PPs said they will definitely not be able to stay in the park after dinner without a party ticket (they will forced to head straight for the exit), and it is probable that they will not be allowed to join you for your 7:00pm ADR (leaving you to pay the cancellation fee).

I wouldn't waste party time eating! I would try for an earlier ADR or do it on another day. In regards to your family, tell them they have to buy tickets or leave, there is no other option.

I agree.

Everyone may not even make that ADR if they don't have party tickets. I'm almost positive a warning pops up that you need party tickets for ADRs a 7:00 pm and on.

If they are allowed to eat, they will be escorted out right away. No stopping to shop, no stopping to even use the restroom.

Please do not try and keep them in the parks. It is indeed a form of stealing. If they want to stay for the party, they need to pay for it like everyone else there.

I think they would only have to pay the cancellation fee if none of them went to the dinner. If the OP has tickets and goes to the dinner there is not a cancellation fee.

ETA-I forgot you pay for CRT upfront. I'm not sure what happens then.

I think the cancellation fee for Cinderella's castle dinner is to pay for the entire meal you missed. No way would I risk paying that.

You have to pay for CRT in advance, and I'm assuming you don't get the money back if you don't show - even if other people in your party go.

Edit: I found this, still not sure what the situation would be if only part of the reservation shows.

"For dinner shows and some character meals, guests will continue to be required to pre-pay for the meal and will forfeit the entire cost should they not cancel within the required window and fail to show up for the event."

I totally agree with this, I wouldn't spend time eating during the MNSSHP. OP should change her dinner reservation to around 4 or 5 and eat in a place that will take no more than 1 hour. We have found that in the past there is a sweet spot from 4-7 when the park isn't very busy and you can knock off a lot of attractions, thus leaving the time from 7-12 for party exclusive shows and attractions.

They will be escorted out. If they are not escorted out after dinner, they will be found by some of the roaming castmembers asking for wrist bands and will be escorted out at that time.

I agree with others who say you may not want to spend that much time on a party night eating. You will be paying more for the party (since it will be only for about 3 hours instead of 5) and will miss out on valuable time to see and ride everything you're planning on.

Anyone dining with a 7PM or later ADR time will need a wristband. 6:55 is fine without the band. 7:00 is not.

And I agree with the others. No way would I spend 2 hours of expensive party time sitting in a restaurant. CRT is expensive enough already. No need to make it even more expensive. Keep looking for a much earlier ADR or try for a non-party day.

DH and I went last year, and to be honest it wasn't worth the $$, and many times we were asked to show our wristbands as we were walking around the park...many many times...it got to be pretty annoying but I am glad they do it as it was already crowded enough (around the castle for parade and fireworks) without freeloaders adding to the crowds.
