If AK closes at 5PM can you still eat dinner there after?

Hello there,

I was wondering if we can still eat a counter service meal in Animal Kingdom if the park closes at 5PM? I know Rainforest is open for dinner, but are the counter services still up and running if we head there around 5PM? I wanted to try Flame Tree BBQ for dinner. Worse case scenario is we do counter service at the hotel that night. Does anyone know?

It seems to me that the counter service places in AK are all closed down by 5:00. I would imagine they want people to leave the park at the 5:00 closing time and having food available would encourage them to stay. I think I remember them closing up the Flame Tree when we were leaving at 4:00 last time we were there. I'm not positive though, about all of the restuarants in AK. Anyone know for sure?

We had RFC PS at AK, and finished after park closing. I believe a bus is avaiable a set amount of time after each park closes (maybe 1-1.5 hrs). You would have to check to be sure. We take our rental car to AK when we hve RFC ressies that will keep us there after park closing (just to be extra safe).
