If AirTran were to change my flight time ...

when do they do it ? A week before the departure date ? Two weeks before ?? They notify you via email correct ??

It really could happen at any time but it has happened to me 3 times about 6-8 weeks in advance. They are supposed to notify you but I was not. In my case this year my flight was changed by only 20 minutes later. In the past they have added an hour to my layover. I think because it's only a little later and it wouldn't make me miss the flight that is why they didn't email me.

They changed my departing flight by FOUR hours and didn't tell me. It would have gotten me to the resort at 11:30PM. I just happened to catch the change, called my TA, and they put me on a different flight right away, one that better met my schedule.

You never know what they might do, so you have to keep watching it.

They changed my October flight at 10 weeks out, but didn't notify me by e-mail until 7 weeks out. The flight changed from a 4:00pm departure to 6:10pm. I was able to switch it to the morning flight with no problem.

Air Tran changed my flights and I never received any emails. Our return flight was scheduled a hour earlier which wouldn't work with our Disney Cruise so I had to get the 5:30pm flight out. They can change your flight at any time. Can't wait for the Passenger Bill of Rights to come out!

Let's see...we are going in late October and around the time the coupon came out I had already had my flight times changed 3 times. I never received anything from them via email. My advice --- watch your flights closely and be prepared for the changes. They will try to work with you if the new flight time does not meet your schedule...

They can keep changing it until you are stepping on the plane. It is just a good idea to keep checking every week or so until you leave.

I've had mine changed once since I booked in February for our Sept trip, they emailed me about a month ago. Seems different airports have more changes than others for some reason. We're flying out of Buffalo, this is our 2nd time flying with them. Our first time flying with them our flight was never changed.

I will though however check again a few days before we leave to make sure they didn't change our flight & I didn't receive an email.
