As in the title the new fast pass system looks complicated for an old lady like me, we are staying onsite and understand we can fast pass rides and restaurants, and some eateries won't count, where can I can some idiots advise on this :)

you need to book your table/sit down meals at 180 days -- and your fast passes at 60 days.

It's actually quite simple to do -- took me less than 5 minutes to do my 10 days of FP+

but then again -- i know what my family likes and does not like -- and can easily plan them out..

Did you have any specific questions?

Those staying on-site are able to book ADRs for restaurants 180 days prior to their stay. This is a good thing when traveling at peak times or for highly desirable restaurants.
As far as fast passes for attractions go....60 days prior to your stay, you can go on-line and make FP+ choices. You can make 3 of them, all in the same park. This is very desirable for popular attractions. Without a FP+, you may find yourself waiting in a two hour standby line.

Any specific questions, just ask away.
