Idiotic ADR question?

I know I've seen this *somewhere* before but I've done a couple different searches over the last few days and can't seem to find it...

What are the best tips for getting the ADRs you want?

I know you're supposed to call every morning at a certain time but I can't remember when that is.

Thanks for the help!

You can call on the 180th day prior to the beginning of your trip as soon as 1-800-wdw-dine opens (which I think is 7am florida time - is this right all? you can call and find out) I just booked our Feb vacation ADRS two weeks ago and was able to get what I wanted but was not looking to book Cinderella's Castle - which is very hard to get I understand. For that ADR you should be on the phone at 7am sharp.

Good luck. Have fun

you have to become a disney dinner line stalker plain and simple, I called 4 to 5 time a day or when I just felt the urge, I kept the number in my cell phone and dialed and dialed till I got everything I wanted Lecelliar three times PSB,CRT, you get the pic and start at that 180 mark

Is it 1-800 as listed? I've always called 1-407-wdw-dine...

We were able to get CRT calling 180 days out, but DH booked two other ADR's before requesting that one (Sigh, I haven't taught him quite everything yet), so we got a time that's during the parade at MNSSHP, sigh. All that to say, if you want CRT, make that one first!

There is no 800 number for the public, I think that the Previous Poster accidentally typed 800 instead of 407.

The correct number is 407-WDW-DINE - opening at 7am Eastern Time.

It was discussed recently that early morning is probably not the absolute best time for cancellations - most of us canceling reservations aren't going to sit on hold and fight to get through to speak with a CM. We're all pretty aware that 7am is reserved for those early birds attempting to make reservations as their window opens. Not that it's a bad time, but many of us who were posting on that thread indicated that we'll call late morning, early afternoon, or evening - as it best fits into our daily schedule.

I too have had better luck calling in the evening around 7 or 8 pm EST. It's my personal opinion that the CMs who work the evening shift are much more pleasant overall than the ones that work during the day and will be much more helpful with finding alternatives.

I have not found that to be true - as a matter of fact I just got off the phone with them and had to talk to 2 CM (one for regular ADRs and then one to book a dinner show for a "large" group) and they both were very nice and it sounded like they were trying to find us a spot. Of the many, many times I have called I have yet to find a CM who was not helpful and nice.

The best time I have found has been in the afternoon, when I call in the AM or after 5PM I always have to wait. When I call at about 2-4PM I always get connected right away.

I have been trying to book a dinner show for what seems like years - ok maybe 2 months - and what the CM always tell me is to call back. Especially closer to the date since ppl tend to cancel right before the 48hr cancellation deadline.

Start at 7 am and keep calling as many chance you have each day. No
guarantee but hey it's always worth the try. Good Luck :thumbsup2

Oops sorry the number s/b 407-wdw-dine. I usually try around 4p and have good luck with it.
