This made me really mad today! I don't think I was the idiot in this case, but I would like an unbiased opinion.

I was making a left turn from one road to another. There were two turn lanes, I was in the right hand one. There is a van in the left lane. Well, the light changes, we turn, and as soon as we have turned, he just kinda floats over into my lane and nearly into me. I have to hit my brakes and slow down a bit to avoid being hit. Anyway, at that, this girl behind me starts blaring her horn, and as she passes me on the right, she flips me off!

I am fuming! I don't think I did anything wrong! Thats why I am asking you, did I?

Irritating.

You didn't do anything wrong. The girl behind you probably wasn't paying enough attention and got caught by surprise when you put on your brakes. She had to blame you, so she didn't have to blame herself. Sounds like you were, literally, surrounded by idiots! :p

are u in miss? woulda swore that was us this afternoon in jackson,, if dw wasnt gone to see hp3 right now i'lddswear shewas on here posting:) even better ,, we had a girl cut off an 18 wheeler this morn and then shook her fist and cxussed the trucker loud enuff we heard her three cars back in traffic

and btw i think you did the right thing:)

As long as you were in a turning lane you did nothing wrong - it was the person who floated over into your lane that was wrong. Not to defend her but the woman behind you that was very rude might not have seen that the van did that to you and got scared for a sec. when she looked up and you had slowed down and just reacted I ( in a bad manner I know). Don't worry about it.

The more time that goes by, the less I am fuming...they were all just not paying attention and in too big of a hurry. Epcotgal, I think you are right, too.

Froggy, I'm in S FL.

Thank you all for confirming what I suspected! Not that I don't make a mistake once in awhile!

You must be related to my DH. Whenever another driver gets mad at him - regardless of if it's his fault or not - he smiles and waves.

Not your fault! You sound like me. It takes awhile for me to shake things like that off!
