I want to write a story, but I don't know what
to write about. Any ideas for a good story I can write?

i write fantasy, so that is what i would tell you to try out.
i find it the most fun and also the easiest.
when you write fanstasy, the people you create and the places you talk about are all yours.

for example, i write about vampries a lot.
but my vampires are NOTHING like the vampires in twilight.

you can just write about whatever you want.

Ever heard of young writers society?
It's an awesome site to post your work, get it editted, talk to other writers, get ideas and stuff. I'm over there too.
As for story ideas, I get my best stuff from real life. Either building on a situtation thats happened, changing the ending of something thats happened, or turning an event a different way.
I'm in the middle of a story and starting a new one soon so if you need any help PM me or check out yws. It's pretty chill.

I usually get inspired by music. Maybe try listening to music and you'll get some story ideas. Especially country music, because country songs usually tell a story.

I would listen to music...I am writing a script for a movie that I will be making and it is pretty much based all on Jaosn Mraz's new CD...and just day dream a lot
