Ideas please!!

I am looking to book a weekend away for the summer for a staff do (someone is leaving), we want a night away with lots of fun, food, drink. When I do an internet search it' s mainly stag/hen weekends. Anyone got any good ideas?

If you fancy a weekend 'away' try this. The Manor House Hotel in Okehampton, Devon is fantastic for a large group - loads of activites to do (or nothing at all if that's what takes your fancy) - all sorts of sporting activities from tennis, squash, basketball, swimming, golf, mini golf, footy, cricket to crafts - glass etching, laquering, jewellery making, card making, t-shirt printing, drawing, picture framing, candle making, I could go on and on!

I go every year for a weekend with a group of girly-friends - there's usually around 20 of us and we have such a laugh.

The food is fabulous for the price you pay (reasonable value) - three meals a day - plus half a bottle of complementary wine each person on the Saturday night gala feast! What more can you ask - and the beer's cheap as well (apparently!).

This really is a great place for family/friend gatherings.

Hi, we've been to Lumley castle's Elizabethan banquet for the night on two occasions, its really fun and theres plenty of free wine & mead, theres entertainment throughout the meal & a disco afterwards. But, i live near Mansfield too and Lumley castle is in Co. Durham ( where my DH is from) & its about a 2 hour drive but the place is gorgeous.
