I just found out last night that one of my girls in my GS troop is moving. We have an outing coming up in 2 weeks, which will be her last with the troop. I'd like to put together a quick memory book from her years with the troop to give her as a going away present. I was thinking about using 8x8 page protectors to make the book, but what can I use for front and back covers (keep in mind I work full time and then some, so I'm looking for simple!!)???

TIA!!

I suggest what lexnconsmom said... I covered my chipboard w/ wedding album paper for the book I just made for BIL and fiancee'. I tied it together w/ matching ribbons! I looks really cool...

Our council office has a selection of GS scrapbooking paper in the shop. If your shop is convenient, maybe you could check it out.

I love the idea of covering chipboard with paper and binding with ribbon! There is a new line of Girl Scout paper out and its really cute. I bought the Brownie paper at Archivers. The paper and embellishments are by K&Co.

Thanks for all your support ladies!! I am discovering though that 8x8 just isn't big enough, I really need this to go 12x12. Do you think a chipboard cover that big is acceptable?? Or should I just buy an inexpensive album??
