Ideas for using snack credits at CR for breakfast

We're staying at CR for the first time in a couple of weeks. I was wondering what they would have, using a snack credit, that we could quickly get for a breakfast item to go?

We used the DDP last year, but they didn't allow the same things for snacks like they do now.

Any suggestions? I'm specifically thinking about something that dh can run and get on our MK EMH mornings that the kids can eat if they get up too late for a "real" breakfast.

TIA

We just got back from CR. I must say I wasn't thrilled with the food & fun center, but I hear they are re-doing it. For breakfast snacks they had things like bagels, containers of oatmeal, cereal, donuts and danishes.

What didn't you like about the Food and Fun center? We were planning on having lunch there practically every day. Is it that bad? Maybe we should have lunch at MK before we head out back to the resort for the afternoon.

We didn't hate it, we just didn't love it. If you have eaten fast food at a moderate or value resort, you will be disappointed with the selection here. I think it didn't help that we ate here quite a bit and got tired of the same offerings. For lunch we ate mostly chicken strips, hot dogs and cheeseburgers. Breakfast was more difficult because DS and I don't like eggs which pretty much left us with pancakes (no waffles, french toast, etc.) or a danish. It certainly wouldn't stop us from returning to the CR. We usually eat lunch in the parks more, but it was August and we just wanted to get back to the hotel to swim.

We love the Food and Fun Center (mostly the arcade part--best one in Disney IMHO). We had egg sandwiches etc for breakfast (we weren't on the DDP). They have all the usual breakfast fast food fare.... I would consider having lunch in the park before returning to the resort--you'll get more variety

Have a Great Trip!! :sunny:

IF you don't mind to travel between resorts I think POR has great CS options. We often preferred going there over eating in the parks. They have typical burgers/chicken, pasta/pizza, and another area with different specials each day. They also have a deli and an excellent dessert counter! It's like a food court but I think better than the value food court. We checked several CS locations including food and fun but were most impressed with the choices at POR. The huge ice cream sandwiches were among our favorite. They take the huge cookies and you can choose any ice cream flavor and they put 4 scoops of ice cream between 2 cookies. It's awesome!

No. The reason we're staying at CR is we plan on going to MK every morning (except one day), then heading back to CR at lunch time for a swim/rest/shower. Then we'll head to another park in the evening. We are a large family, including an infant, and going on the buses with all the kids plus a stroller isn't fun. We want to use the buses as least as possible...lol.

Thanks. :)

Here's some breakfast snack options available at CR:

Banana, Apple or orange
Individual bowls of cereal
Pop Tarts
Bagel
Muffin
Yogurt
Yogurt/Granola Parfait
Box of Entenmanns donuts (gift shop)

You can find a list of possible snack options here:

As far as the Food and Fun Center, we were there in June and was not impressed with it. The arcade is large but as far as a place to eat, it was just too small (not enough tables). It is placed in a dark corner of the building as if it was an afterthought. When we were there, there were flies around the tables (my DD3 is terrified of them). My suggestion is to eat lunch in the parks before you head back.
