Ideas for surprising kids about night at GWL?

We bought a groupon for Great Wolf Lodge a few weeks ago, and we're taking the kids the day before they have to go back to school from Christmas Break. My parents are coming with us, too. We haven't told the kids, yet. It is about a 4 and a half hour drive from our house. You guys are so creative, I was hoping someone would have a good way to surprise them with the mini-trip. Any ideas??!! TIA! --Katie

make up clues that they get evey half hour or so in car.. ( marshmellow for snow) ear plugs water cameara, etc have fun with it!
