Ideas for next vacation

OK, now that my WDW vacation is over, I would like to plan another (smaller) trip for my family for maybe four or five nights this summer. We would like to go to the ocean and would like to go somewhere that would be just a car ride away. Anybody have any favorite beaches/towns along the east coast (I'd say north of Va or so)? I've only visited Wildwood (NJ), so that's all I know of.

Any ideas???

I say go for a cruise say for carribean or Bermuda -- many, many threads on cruise discussions. Do a search.

We have actually cruised in the past but since I didn't want to go away for a full week, I didn't really consider it as an option. Thanks though!

I'd say come to CT but it seems like all our shoreline towns don't really have public beaches. Well...we're supposed to have public beaches but they're not advertised well!

Try Hampton Beach, NH. DH & I went a few years ago and had a great time.

How about Martha's Vineyard? That seems like a nice little getaway for a few days.

Ocean City MD has become a fav spot of ours to visit in the past few years - and niether of us really even like the beach.
