Ideas for meals on Honeymoon

Hi everyone,

My h2b and I are honeymooning at POFQ for 2 weeks in October, and are on the QSDDP as it came free with our booking, so we'll be looking for just 2 or 3 places to have sit-down meals...and would like at least one of them to be romantic-ish haha! Whenever we've been to WDW before, we've just paid OOP for quick service meals so I don't really know much about table service restaurants and which to pick!

Can anyone recommend a few places?

our last trip to The World my wife and I had our "date night" out at the California Grille and it was amazing

loved being able to watch the fireworks out on the roof-top deck and the food and wine there are incredible

It isn't the quietest restaurant so not sure if I would qualify it as super romantic though

Congratulations! If it is in your budget I would try Victoria & Alberts. Others I think you may enjoy would include:
Citricos
Narcosee
Fultons

I would definitely recommend Citricos, and be sure to tell them you're on your honeymoon.

DF and I went recently to celebrate a few days after our engagement, and I had the best dining experience I've ever had on property. We were seated just as the fireworks were starting at MK (not on purpose, either), and the menus were personalized with our names and pink hearts. The server also brought over complimentary champagne.

Oh, and the food was phenominal. My only gripe was that they had run out of the one dessert I was really looking forward to--the warm banana chocolate torte.

Since you are not on a plan, I'd go V&A for sure. If you can't swing that one (or don't want to have to dress up that much), I'd go for one of the restaurants at the Swan and Dolphin hotels that are not on the plan. They have better food and service and provide a more adult/quiet atmosphere.

There is Il Mulino (Italian), bluezoo (fish/seafood) and Shula's (steak/lobster). They are about the same price as Disney's signatures if paying OOP but much much better.

california grill **tell them you are newly weds, you will get fabulous surprises**, 1900 park fare for brunch, akershaus, boma are all wonderful, good food and environments! congrats!

Personally I don't get as excited at the signature places as other do. So if you like the menu go for it.

If not, then take a look at these menus and see what you think.

San Angel Inn - This place in Epcot is in the Mexican pavillion. The little restaurant is locatated inside along a "river" (that is the boat ride), with the stars above you, you really feel as if you are riverside in Mexico.
The food is wonderful, very traditional in flavor and not overly spicey.
During the meal you will enjoy the laid back, romantic atmosphere most restauants can't give you. (including the signatures)

Tony's - This restaurant in MK is the best if you are a Lady and the Tramp fan....and if that isn't romance I don't know what is! LOL
The food is pretty good, the decor very cute and you are inside MK, what more would you ask for?!

These 2 little gems get missed alot on the boards but I think they are great.

Romance is what you make of it.....not what you pay for it.

We had our honeymoon in D-World in August and we LOVED Narcoosee's, Jiko, and Le Cellier.

Everyone likes different things and has different ideas of "romance". I suggest you think about the type of atmosphere you want, the price you want to pay, and the menus that appeal to you the most.

If you want to stay away from signatures, we enjoyed Coral Reef.

Don't forget about Artist Point...I haven't eaten there personally, but I hear raves about it, and I've heard it has a quiet and intimate setting.

if you can afford it try V&A (an adult only restaurant..so you'll have a peace and quiet, romantic place). If not try Le Cellier (we had a corner booth and it was a great meal). Other places my husband loves is Jiko, Narcoossee's, Citricos and Flying Fish (look at the menu and see what would interest you)

Congratulations! There isn't anything much more romantic than dinner at the California Grill with Magic Kingdom fireworks. Our other favorites are Flying Fish Cafe (although it can be loud, taking away from the romance factor), Narcoosee's, Citricos and Bluezoo.

If you can afford it, make an effort to go to Victoria and Albert's.

In the US the American Automobile Association (equal to Royal Automobile Club) rates both hotels and restaurants with awards from one diamond to five diamonds. There are only 46 restaurants in the entire United States with a Five Diamond ranking, and V&A is one of them.
