Ideas for Making Money?

I really want to take advantage of the FTP, especially since they extended the dates but I'm not sure whether I could save up the money in time. Any ideas on making some extra money?

I'm already doing reward programs and saving change. Putting aside money every week is limited due to paying off college classes and other debts this summer. I could put most of it on my credit card but would prefer not to. Again, any ideas or suggestions?

I don't have to go to Disney (and I won't if I don't have the money) but I would really, really like too. Its that Disney Withdrawl Thing! :p

Hate to sound like a broken record, but do you have anything you could sell on eBay? If so, come on over to the big "ebay your way to Disney" thread..

If not - let's see.. How about babysitting jobs? Pet sitting while people are on vacation? Housecleaning? A small part-time job where you could put that entire check towards the trip?

I second the vote for consignment shops.

I usually gather all of my children's clothes and other household stuff and have the local mission pick it up. We usually get a slip for a deduction off our taxes.

Anyway, I decided to take all of my children's clothes to a consignment shop and left with over $250.00.

If you don't have children you can take adult clothes to an adult consignment shop. I have taken several outfits to a local one. You usually don't receive any money until they sell the clothes.

If you don't really have a lot of "dressy" clothes that would sell at a consignment shop because you're still in school or something I would maybe consider a garage sale.

I agree about not putting it on your credit card.

Maybe work a set number of overtime hours and put that money away for Disney.

Six of us are going in November with FTP. Money is a little tight for part of our group, so we had a yard sale last weekend and made about $250--and we were not very organized!

In September we are going to have another sale, but this time we are going to sell lemonade and baked goods too.

Often you can sell at flea markets or other organized sales--it will cost a few bucks to buy a table, but you get a lot more potential customers. There are usually a bunch of these in our area over the summer.

Good luck, and don't forget that you have to book FTP by the end of this month.

Depending on where you live.... get on the list with the MArket Research companies for survey's. They can pay you $50 - $100 for a few hours of group discussion time. Also, if you are Chicago area, Uniliver pays for shampoo, deoderant studies. I am doing one now and will get paid $150 cash - no taxes.

Krispy Kreme's helps with fund raisers and it is at 50% profit

How do you find a "Market Research" company?

Check the yellow pages under market research. Also, many corporations do consumer research as well as ad agencies. We get flyers in the junk mail stuffer from various research companies looking for panelists.

Hope this helps

Thanks for all the great suggestions. We were already talking anout having a Yard Sale so I could definately do that one. My job now is working with kids so babysitting is definately out. I like the Ebay thing. I may try that one.

Thanks again. I really appreciate it!

Kelly
