Please help guys -

For the first time next year, we'll be travelling to DLP by Eurostar (eeeep I'm very excited :goodvibes).

I'm taking my DD, and both my nieces. It will be youngest niece's first trip to The Magic, she is 5. I have got loads of bits and pieces to surprise her with on the way while we are on the Eurostar.

My DD is nearly 13, niece is nearly 14. So really they are well past the toy/girls stuff stage. I need some ideas for not-too-expensive things for them for surprise packs too.

So far, I have thought about socks, a phone charm/case (they both have Blackberrys) and a Disney pen.

Any other ideas for ladies? I'd love to pick up some of the Disney villain collectible nail polishes but I havent seen them for sale for at least a year I don't think. We are going in mid-April so hopefully there will be no need for hats/scarves/gloves ;).

Any ideas of where to source stuff like this too, so that its not too expensive?

Thanks all :).

T shirts from Primark, they usually have a good selection of trendy Disney ones around £3 each.
I'd keep an eye on the Disney Store sale in January.

Play.com for bits and bobs, they have some Disney Couture nail varnish on there at the moment.

I've had some Disney Couture jewellery from Sports Direct but think that was just a one off, but maybe worth keeping an eye on there.

I've had Disney notepads and pens from Home Bargains and a smashing pair of PJ's last weekend.

and then there's always ebay :)

Primark did have some lovely Minnie Mouse nail varnish, compact mirrors, manicure sets, cosmetic bags and shower scrunchies in the summer not sure if they still have them. They were the same as what Boots had in sets last Christmas.

Primark is good for the t shirts. George at Asda have some lovely Disney items - I got the most gorgeous Minnie Christmas Tee shirt to take (this week!)and that was £6 and a super Mickey Xmas jumper. But they have nice clothing and other items year round.

Also, if you type Mickey Mouse into the search engine in Argos online catalogue, they have a store specific to Minnie & Mickey.

Pound land have Minnie shower caps and Minnie / Disney princess hair wraps.
I may of bought some for myself :rolleyes1.
Opi do Disney nail varnish you may pick up a bargain in the sales.

brilliant, thank you all - i'm off for an online mooch :thumbsup2.

I was going to mention that Poundland has the hair wrap towels and shower caps (tinkerbell; minnie and princess); plus disney diarys etc.

If you don't have a poundland I am going towards the end of the week and could always post if you wanted anything!

They just about overtake our town! Most of our pound shops are rubbish - but we have a massive Poundland on the out of town retail park - I loves that place!

Primark for Disney PJs! Its my 1st purchase for every DLP holiday. We get a new one each. Have you looked at Disney bounding? Its where you dress in a similar way to a favourite character. You could do an outfit each for them. Most of the outfits can be made with basic tees / bottoms / skirts and made more character specific with accessories. Have a look at the website (sorry cant link, I'm on my phone). Leanne showed me it & I'm a bit obsessed with it. Such a cool idea!

You're going to loooooove going on the Eurostar :thumbsup2 it's so much more civilised than flying and when it finally stops you're there! :yay:

Thanks for all the ideas folks - I'm updating as I'm on a roll now - so far I have found

Miss Piggy and Minnie hair wraps from the pound shop (thanks ILOVEDLP and Rosebug :goodvibes) plus 3 Winnie the Pooh pens with neckstraps (so one each for 3 girls) and a set of 5 lovely big pink Disney Princess plastic rings :rotfl: (I'll split them up and the girls will get some each). Oh and Minnie and Piglet socks too.

Cutie Tigger and Eeyore phone socks - ebay

Disney Couture-ish style Mickey-head bracelets from Claires today in the 75% off and bogof sale - so they cost £1 each (originally £7 each)! I'm well impressed with this range, I'd never noticed them before, they have black card backing instead of pink, and the range is "Minnie Mouse" rather than "Minnie" for younger girls. I might go back tomorrow and see what else I can find ;).

I'll keep a lookout in Primark, Asda and H&M etc for Disney t-shirts for the girls too, then I'm all set I think. I still have a couple of months to get them, so I'm sure I'll find something suitable.

Thanks again for all the ideas :).

Sounds FAB!

I need to pull my finger out and get Rosebug's packs made! I have very little atm! Love the sound of the Claire's stuff - may have to try to pop to our outlet centre tomorrow and have a peep!

I am currently trying to make Disney themed party bags and it's driving me up the wall!

Oh really? Our tescos have none left now - I bought a handful when they were 36p for the Christmas Shoeboxes. Will ask my mam to have a look next time she is in!

Thanks

so the time is nearly upon us - on Tuesday we set off, arrive at DLP on Wednesday :goodvibes.

Here are my first attempts ever at surprise bags for the girls -

first one is for my littlest niece, age 5 -

then my older niece, age 13 -

and my daughter, age 12 -

these are the older girls nail foils/stickers and bracelets I got from Claires - they were an absolute bargain the sales, only £1 each :thumbsup2! -

with a lot of shopping around and some inventive use of giftcards etc, I got all this stuff for less than £10 per bag, so I'm pretty chuffed with myself - and I can't wait to dish them out to the girls when we get on the Eurostar in 5 days time - eeeep :banana:!

You did great Elaine bargain :thumbsup2
Ashamed to say I have most do the stuff in your 13 years old nieces bag .

Hope you have a fab girly time xx
