Ideas for keeping little ones entertained in line?

I've never had good luck with the WDW wifi. :-/ Our DD accidentally used all our data last year waiting in line because the wifi cut off. Oops
You download movies to your phone at home prior to the flight. Downloading games to your phone is another idea to keep them quiet.

Except don't count on using the beeswax/clay in line if it's really hot out - it will just turn into an awful mess!

SO TRUE! For some reason I thought they were taking a cooler-weather trip, but I may be confusing them with another poster.

Bubbles are not appropriate for indoor/crowded queues. Some people are allergic to bubble solution (my daughter included, although she's an adult now and hasn't played with bubbles for years), the solution can stain clothing, and mess up glasses. Also, kids can go off chasing bubbles and an adult can't follow through the queue very easily - not a good choice, IMO.

It's not like I'd be blowing them anywhere than on my son, so I see no problem with it. If my husband is holding DS, I can easily blow bubbles at him without them interfering with others whatsoever. I'm sure that is preferable to others in line than a fussy toddler.

Bubbles float and fly away, by definition. Trust me, many people in line with you will not appreciate it, and some may even have to leave the line due to allergies or sensitivities. The thoughtful thing to do would be to use some of the many other suggestions given here and leave the bubbles at home.

I'm sorry but I can't agree. It's very hard to contain bubbles and I've seen some pretty upset people. We love bubbles but I would never take them in a line at WDW. You stand to close to one another. Your fussy toddler would not bother my family(although I'd feel your pain at the moment). Toddlers are so unpredictable and you will see several cranky kids in a Disney day. Have a great trip.

No they are not. You can't direct them. They will land on other people, and maybe on their cameras/Ipads, whatever. And if the solution accidentally spills, it will make the line very slippery. Please do something else to entertain your toddler in line.

Btw, I've gone to Disney with kids aged 3 months and up. We never ever needed any type of toy in line. We talked about our day, or played rock paper scissors, or played peek a boo. If your child is to the point that nothing will make them happy, then it is time for a break. I'm not saying leave the park, but a cool drink, or time in a play area can work wonders.

I'm not sure how I ever survived going to theme parks as a child!!

Seriously, I don't plan to bring anything special, nor do I plan on getting in any really long lines. I'm sure we will survive.

Don't forget that bubbles sting when they pop in your face or rub your eyes after you get bubble solution on your hands. So, if you are just blowing them so close to your child so that none can escape, you are basically blowing them into his face or all over his hands/body. Also, there's very little standing still in a queue, so you will be moving while you are blowing bubbles, and you'll be able to guarantee no bubbles will escape?
