Thought I'd start a thread to hear some suggestions of what you do while waiting in line...I do not have the most patient 6 year old. ;) We are going Thanksgiving week and I know it will be crowded!

So far I've thought of:
bringing our kids Disney trivia cards to play in line
finding hidden Mickeys (are there a lot while in lines?)
Playing "I Spy"
Snacks and more snacks

Any other great ideas parents? :flower3:

When my DS4 was starting to get antsy in line I handed him my iPhone. I loaded a new game and TV show each day. He got a kick out of finding what I added and was really entertained.

iPhone... that's the way to go no matter where you are, inside and outside of DLR/DCA.

I'm not a parent but.....

There is a book called "Lots to do in Line" for Disneyland. It is basically a scavenger hunt specific for all of the lines. For example if you were waiting for the Mad Tea Party the questions might include (multiple choice of course for the younger ones) "What are the lights shaped as?" "How many teacups are there?" "What Alice in Wonderland character is the same colors as the floor" ect. And when you run out of questions they have "Treasure Hunts" where you have to check off the items you spot, or they give you a challenge where you see who can spot the most of something generic walking by, like girls dressed like princesses or pin traders.

It occupied my time my last trip and I'm 24! :rotfl:
Instead of the book, however, I purchased the Iphone app, it was easier for me to carry plus it keeps score for you. The app also includes California Adventure (and Carsland!) not sure if the book does also.

Thanks for the recommendation! I have two boys (5 and 7 yrs) who are avid readers and Disney enthusiasts so this book would be perfect for them. I just purchased it on Amazon :cool1:
