Looking for ideas for my sons graduation cap. He is wanting to do a Disney and UA themed top. They can decorate them anyway as long as it doesn't stand up. He loves anything Toy Story or Mickey and would like to add a Roll Tide. Any ideas??? His Mom and I are NOT creative! Thanks!!!

Too bad it can't stand up, Mickey ears would be great!

What are the schools colors? You can use them with one of those fabric line glue/pen things to draw the character on the top. Choose the character based on the cap's original color so you dont have to color in those larger sections.

Although I am a fan of "the claw" and getting a Small (maybe pencil eraser) Alien to have hanging on his tassel :)

He's wearing a red color cap and gown. Love this idea......although I may have to find someone who could do it for him. ;)

I just wanted to say that I had someone paint mine with acrylic paint. She said it was a little tricky because the cap soaked in the paint and it would spread a little.

Mine was the castle and a quote from the fireworks show Wishes. I'll try to post a pic later

I was just kind of messing around with Photoshop, and this is what I came up with. If you wanted to use it, you could print the image on to photo transfer paper and iron it onto the cap. Just an idea.

(I can't post links or images yet so I broke up the link)

too bad you didnt have more time, I know a great artist that can do something for you. He has painted murals in my kids rooms and has his own Disney art that he creats that is spectacular. I would love to show you some, He did a painting for my neice who recently got married. It was the castle and mickey and minnie in wedding garb with tinker bells waving her wand and the wedding date and alot of other stuff in the back ground/ foreground. Anyways I thought is was brilliant and if it were for sale at a Disney art store it would easily go for several hundreds of Dollars with the nice frame he used and every thing. In the fall he decorates Pumpkins and he has done alot of other stuff. But this is the first I have heard of decorating Graduation caps.

Great Idea I will have to tell him. He makes a good buck doing this for friends and family without actually gouging the prices. I dont think he charges enough actually for all the work he puts into them.

Good luck. Please post any pics when done!!

I love decorating grad caps! You could always paint the cap to be themed Andy's Room and then add the school's logo on top and maybe a disney quote! Hope that helps! :)
