Ideas for date @ WDW?

Was hoping I get could get some different opinions here.

Ive been seeing a guy for about a month now, yet we havent had our first official date, just been meeting up when we can for dinner, drinks.

So I (jokingly) threw out the idea of resort hopping at wdw. And he actually got excited. lol. So i'm now in charge of planning this day. (we live an hour away)

He's been to Disney a few times. Has always "had a good time" (and he has noo idea of my extensive knowledge when it comes to the resort. lol)

I'd like to do lunch or dinner somewhere, but not something crazy expensive. Im certain he'll insist on picking up the bill, and he's a teacher, so I dont want to break him. Id also like to end the evening with fireworks. Preferably MK's.

I have a few ideas in my head, maybe you could elaborate from there? Ive never dated a guy that wanted to do this kind of stuff. So im sort of at a loss for semi (not overkill) romantic ideas at Disney.

My only idea really - Go to AKL, then Poly, dinner at Kona, Fireworks on the beach, go to the Boardwalk for Jellyrolls.

Those are my 3 fav. resorts. My fav. resort restaurant, my fav fireworks and my fav. wdw bar.

I'm a girl in my twenties, he's 30. Just thought maybe you guys would have some different ideas I hadnt thought of. Thanks in advance!

You might not have had a pick me up at my house date but dinner and drinks sounds like a date to me. Thats how a lot of my dates go - good and bad! :)

ALthough IMO of course - maybe you should not force the whole "DATE" thing. Maybe the best thing to do is to just keep meeting up on the casual scene. It might work out better. Somtimes when its listed an official DATE it can make people over try!

Although Ideas - depends what you guys are into. Dinner is nice - maybe a movie or some drinks - sounds like you guys like that. If you want to try something different and fun - try Bowling or something along those lines.

We've just been hanging out a lot. It was his idea to have an official "date", because he wanted to "take me out on the town" He suggested going to Burns steakhouse, and hanging out in ybor. (which is this upscale steakhouse in tampa, and a huge nightclub district in downtown tampa) but I said If we were gonna go to an "upscale" restauarant and "go out", I'd rather go to Disney. Which started me explaining resort hopping, which he said sounds like fun.

Weve just never planned to go somewhere. Im not worried about 'scaring him'. Im pretty sure he wants to take me somewhere to ask us to be "offically" boyfriend and girlfriend. (haha that sounds so corny)

And i think you missed that we wanted to have the date at Disney World ;)

What about watching the fireworks on the beach at the Poly? That's romantic and free!

Or, catch Illuminations from the Rose and Crown over dinner...

Sounds like a lot of fun! I'm jealous. :-)

I think you misunderstood what the OP was saying.

Woops my bad - Its still early! :)

I like the Ohana grill at firework time! Then you can take a walk along the lagoon!
