We are thinking we may go in late January, and therefore have it coincide with my little girls fourth bday.

I've heard you can order cakes in advance. I'm wondering if they do anything special at any of the character restaurants? Will they all come to the table and will wait staff sing?

What character meal would be best for a birthday? She is very into the Princesses, but she likes them all!

TIA for all your help.

well for princess meals there is CRT at the castle and the breakfast in norway.
Other bday ideas
The BBB boutique at DTD. You can call private dining and order a cake. Whatever meal you pick you can let the place know and arrange something with them

We'll be celebrating DD's 4 th birthday in October. I booked the Ohana breakfast and then 1900 Park Fare with Cinderella for dinner. I am going to order a cake at the podium. When you make your ADR's they can give you the phone # to the restuarant if you want to order a larger cake.

Tell every restaraunt it is her bday! Most do come out with a cupcake and sing. At CRT my table was decorated and I got a cake -it wasn't a cupcake more like a mound cake! I also got a Mickey shaped cake for breakfast at Boma's and a cupcake at Ohana. Chef Mickey's I recieved a placemat that said Happy Birthday and some have cards signed by CM's.

Don't forget her birthday buttons at any park you visit. I had people wishing me a Happy Birthday as well as security guards serenading me!

WDW is such a great place to celebrate a bday! Just remember-not all places will do something even if you tell them-so don't be disappointed if they don't.

Have a great trip! (and bday!)

The Princess Breakfast in Norway was awesome! I was a teenager and still loved it. It was small and cozy and we got to see all the princesses.

I liked the Garden Grille for the character meal the most. It was very interactive. Chip and Dale kept taking things from our table. And all the characters came out with CMs with a cake and sang happy birthday to me (it was my 16th). It was cool. I enjoyed it a lot!

I think that there are 2 things to try and do. First, visit it the pay it forward thread to have a special card inviting your daughter to Disney World sent. Second, book either CRT, 1900 PF or Akershus. Tell your daughter that the characters are there to help her celebrate her birthday.

Chef Mickey's was great for our DS last year...confetti on the table plus a souvenir placemat and the CM asked us which was his favorite character. We said Donald and the CM brought the cake out that I ordered prior to the trip (I think it was $12 or $14, but it was pretty big) and had Donald Duck with him. It was nice. He got a Mickey bendy type straw, too, but I think all the kids get that.

The meal in Norway is great with the Princesses, much more intimate than the CRT one.

The night before her birthday, while she's sleeping decorate your hotel room with streamers and stuff (I made up signs for my DS's birthday and brought Mickey streamers and cut-outs in our luggage)...then she'll wake uo to something special.

Thank you for all the great idea's. I hope we get to coordinate our trip with her birthday. I wasn't sure, but now I'm really convinced that it would be extra magical!

We celebrated our dd 4th bday at 1900 Park Fare I order a cake. They gave her a bday crown and a signed place mat.
