Does anyone have any suggestions for a decent, budget hotel near the Orlando airport? We will be leaving Orlando at 7:00 a.m. and don't want to waste money on a DW hotel night. Any ideas?

Try the La Quinta Inn and Suites (Airport north)
location. They also have free airport transportation. I also noticed your 7 am departure, wherever you stay, be sure that their transportation starts early enough or use a taxi.

Hyatt is $119. Hampton Inn Olando Airport is $85. There was a Holiday Inn Express Airport that was $79 but it did not offer 24 hour shuttle service. We get in at 12:30 am. The Holiday shuttle closes at 1 am. Too close for comfort for me.

I would like to know if anybody has suggestions for a cheaper rate for the Hyatt Airport. The thing I like about Hampton is that I am an HH member which allows me to checkout later!!

Just today, I used Priceline.com for a 3* airport hotel for my arrival night in July. I used the link from the Priceline/Expedia board (that TravelSheryl hosts) to get $20/night in bonus money addded to my bid when using my American Express card. With a $22 bid plus $20 bonus money, I got the Orlando Renaissance at the airport. I don't have the Priceline/Expedia site bookmarked on the computer I'm using, so I hope someone else can provide that info.

As to the Hyatt, you may want to try Expedia's Hotel Price Matcher, as the last I checked, that was the only hotel Expedia's Hotel Wizard rated 4* in the Orlando Airport zone. Priceline does not offer 4* bidding in that zone and we've never seen the Hyatt at the Airport come up through Priceline.

With the deals Nancy and others have been getting for airport hotels through Priceline, it just seems like a win-win situation to me.

We got Four Points Sheraton Airport for $30 a night thru Priceline with out bonus money. They have a shuttle also. I was very happy with the hotel also.
