We are staying at the Dolphin in September and are planning on picking up some food at the grocery store prior to check in. We are hoping to eat most of our Breakfasts in the room to save money and time. I plan on picking up bagels, Oatmeal (use the coffee pot to heat water) and fruit bars. We are planing on also picking up a styrofoam cooler to keep water and juice cold. Just like to hear what your tips are on this.

Thanks!
Michelle

I have never stayed at the Dolphin but I know in some of the other resorts they supply (or sometimes you can request) a refrigerator. Are there any fridges available at the Dolphin? We would always bring our own cereal in the mini boxes or the ones that have a bowl included with them, as seen here: http://www.minimus.biz/SearchResult.aspx?CategoryID=23l. If you are in a hurry one morning you could try the cereal bars, they come in just about every cereal brand. I always like fresh fruit at breakfast, you could pick up some fruit already cut up, just remember to bring or pick up some plastic utensils and small throw away bowls, if needed. :cutie:

I packed a bunch of green bananas in my carryon, ripened more as the week went on. We did ME, so no car. Granola bars are good for breakfast or park snacks.

I love the little mini boxes of cereal. They're so easy, but I must have milk with cereal, so it would really only work with a fridge.

The 'oatmeal to go' bars are pretty good and can be eaten on the way to the parks.

We went to Disney last November and we did he same thing. We took those mini cereal boxes, bagels, cereal bars, and muffins. Ate breakfast in the room 5 of the 6 days and it was perfect. Saves time and money.

We had Garden Grocer deliver cereal, milk, cookies, poptarts, bread, peanut butter, etc. Then just let the kids pick what they wanted. Normally they could never have a PB&J for breakfast, but when in Disney...

I couldn't find bowls on the Garden Grocer website, so the boys had cereal in coffee cups. Next time we will pack bowls! Luckily we had remembered spoons, plates and napkins.

We are staying at the Swan, and we just placed our order with Garden Grocer, too! We also called to see if the Swan could empty out the mini bar, and found out that they rent refrigerators for about $12. So, we went ahead with that! Saves time and money to eat in the room! :cool1:
