Hello Crafters!

DH and I as well as my parents are going to be going to MNSSHP this year! I would love to dress up as Rapunzel from Tangled.

I don't really want to purchase a costume unless it's a Disney official costume since most others are pricey and don't look that great.

My sewing abilities are limited by I'm hoping to create a dress to wear myself.

Any ideas on how I should go about this? Should I try to re-create her dress or adapt it for MNSSHP? I don't want to be sweaty or uncomfortable (I typically don't wear anything but shorts and tanks at the park) so I'm thinking maybe I should try to adapt her outfit.

Maybe a tutu or simple skirt paired with a tank top that has poofy sleeves sewn on? This is my only idea.

Got any others?

I appreciate any help you can send my way!:flower3:

the tangled costume here in the UK has a laced up top. This would be easy to create. you could just get a rectangle of material (hemmed) and using rivets make lace holes and thread a ribbon through in a cross pattern and wear it over your t shirt with puffy sleeves.

I hope I managed to explain that well enough. I dont think it would be hard even with my very limited sewing skills :thumbsup2

Good idea!! Thank you!
