We are staying at Pop Century from May 3rd through May 9th. We will be traveling with our 3 and 5 yr old girls. We will be celebrating our 5 year olds birthday on the trip. It is also both of their first visit to the world. I want to make welcome bags for both of them upon our arrival to pop century.

I am looking for ideas on what to put in the bags? And also ideas, on how to make the bags themselves?

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

There are so many options for kids that age. I always did Disney-themed pajamas and a new toothbrush and toothpaste (bonus was I didn't have to remember to pack their toothbrushes the morning we were leaving!).

Target and Dollar Tree often have little items like notebooks, pens, tattoos, stickers, cups, coloring books, jewelry, etc. featuring Disney characters. Small stuffed animals, beach towels, sunglasses, lip balm were all popular with my girls at those ages too. Glow sticks or other light-up toys are a hit and will save you money vs. what is for sale there.

You could also include snacks or breakfast items, especially stuff that's usually off-limits at home.

One trip, I made "coupons" for things like our character meals, BBB, pick a pearl. It helped them know what to expect throughout the week. If you wanted a bigger surprise, you could add a new princess dress or other outfit.

As for the bag, I'd probably go with something functional, like a small Disney-themed tote bag. Or maybe those collapsible storage cubes (the kind they sell with the closetmaid shelving units). We took a couple of those on our last trip, and they were so helpful keeping all the kids' little stuff together throughout the week.

The bolded was some of the best advice I received from the Dis. The dollar store has glow sticks etc.

I made everything I personally loved bold. And just to elaborate. The pajamas are a great idea, there is nothing better than laying in a disney bed, watching a disney movie, in disney pajamas. Also beach towels, great and very functional, especially if the kids love the pool. Snacks! of course, you can even make some of your own little disney snacks (try to find a mickey pancake form or cookie cutter) and make some mickey cookies or rice krispie treats. Also, jelly belly had minnie, mickey, and princess jelly beans right now! Glow Sticks are a must!! You will save yourself so much money that way. Also at the dollar store you can find mickey/princess notebooks and sticks (as listed above) use those as autograph books, because the ones at the parks cost much more than a dollar or two!

I am also putting together a basket for my nephews birthday at disney. I have collected a Mickey toothbrush and an autograph book from disney merchandise.com. I really like the pajama idea too.

I include all the stuff we need anyway in a fun disney theme. Always PJ's, tooth brushes, bodywash, snacks etc. One of the coolest things is a Disney Themed pillow case. We had Mickey but princess might be extra special. I would put in all in a small cinch backpack they could carry if they really want to.

Yep, dollar bin has some Sophia and princess stuff in right now, so I'd definitely pick up from there. I know there are coloring books and I think some socks too. Definitely glow bracelets from there. Also, think stickers which are popular at any age. If you want the no mess, Crayola Wonder stuff. Little princess dolls. Puzzle. Flip flops. Swimsuit. Sticker earrings (Claire's has these in Disney Princess, Doc McStuffins and Sophia). Jewelry like bracelets or the like. Plush animal. WDW t-shirt or fav character tshirt. Food like Disney fruit gummies or just general snacks. Reusable water bottle. You should check the seasonal area of Target as I know for Christmas and Valentine's Day, they had some Disney stuff in there like chocolate covered pretzels. Toothbrush and hand soap. You can do your own coupon book and that might be a good way to also limit the treats, etc. -- like a few coupons for Mickey ice cream bars, popcorn, sweet treat of choice, etc. but once they've used it up, no more, welp, no more coupons, no more of that.

I picked up disney nightlight and disney themed kids 3-1 travel shampoo/body wash. The stores will have little toys & candies out now for Easter and I'm sure disney themed items will be amount them. I found travel coloring pad @ target today disney themed :) along with all above suggestions :). I also came across disney themed card game packs @ walmart.
I picked up a 10 pack of the small bubbles bottles and I plan on taking the labels off and placing a homemade one on them, that matches the bottle color of course ;) , that I will give my boys in the mornings before we leave for the parks. I will give them one that will go with the park of the day.

We will be at Pop Century those exact dates!!! Maybe we'll see yall around!

I've already picked up some of the glo sticks, and she is getting Elsa pjs! I'll also bring some princess gummy snacks. And a princess toothbrush! I'm also going to pick up a small pool toy for her (some little plastic things that float) She already has a bathing suit and flip flops. I also have a small princess fan that lights up.

I think we may try the pressed pennies this time. She loves to "collect" things, so I think she'll like that.

I always did surprise bags for my daughters, and now for my granddaughter! I will just get a party bag with her favorite character - I'd love to find a Frozen one! If not, she loves the princesses!

Have a great trip!!!

Awesome ideas!! Where did you find the Elsa PJs? They absolutely love Frozen and I can't find anything ever lol.

Hopefully we will see you also! Our room windows will be decorated so we should be easy to find lol.

i actually got them off ebay, but I didn't pay that much for them. I think it was about $15. I had also bought her a nightgown from Walmart when they first came out. Our Disney store has had a few of the Frozen things. I'd like to get her a shirt with Elsa on it before the trip.

Maybe we'll see yall around the pool! Have fun!!!

Yeah I've been looking for Elsa shirts. They have just Anna ones and the shirts with both but not just Elsa!

Y'all have fun also!

Our Dollar Tree always has Disney stuff - sometimes it's really GOOD stuff too! Last trip I took play doh, puzzles, those little washcloth cubes that you put in water to make a washcloth, sunglasses, coloring books and crayons. I liked having something to entertain my son in the room, so we could have some quiet wind-down time after the parks each evening. Glow sticks were also a hit cause they're 5/$1 at the dollar tree but much more at the parks! Chapstick, sunscreen, their favorite snacks etc would be great too. Love the PP's toothbrush/toothpaste idea!

Where did you find the disney themed travel shampoo and stuff? That is a great idea. We are not going till Dec but I want to start gathering stuff now for their surprise bags :)

We fill a trunki suitcase with Disney themed stuff for dd which she gets to open in the plane-this year is definitely frozen themed! Plus it's a way to keep her quiet on the journey over from England!
Like the idea of collapsable storage boxes for the room as dd's stuff dies get everywhere-there is never enough draw space !!!

We usually pack things like colour wonder, play doh and some new toys-bagged her elsa and Anna 'barbie' style dolls so far!

Have fun on your trip:)

I LOVE the idea of the collapsible cube! I am definitely taking that on our next trip in August. I remember our DD's (she was 5 at the time) stuff being everywhere in the room. The cube will definitely keep it organized and in one place.

As for ideas: Definitely hit the dollar store. They have tons of Disney themed items that would be nice. I found that my daughter loved coloring books/notebooks/crayons to keep her busy, especially at restaurants. This time we will be going during the summer so I might pick up towels, flip flops, sunglasses and small pool toys. I like the autograph book idea but my DD preferred the signature mat I brought with me the last time we went. It was nice to get the character's signatures then be able to put a picture in the middle and actually display in our home.

I did one for each park last year. I found that was too much. I agree with what everyone has posted I would add a hat or mouse ears. We always go for MNSSHP so I will include a trick or treat bag as well. I love the collapsible basket we needed somewhere to store shoes. I think I put too much in the baskets to keep her entertained in the room. We used almost nothing I brought. This year I will do PJs, glow things, night light, new princess dress, trick or treat bag, autograph book and coupons to get things in the parks.
