DH and I are taking DS7 and DD4 on our 3rd trip to Disney World in April. DD is going to BBB and we're doing dinner at CRT that night. She loves dressing up and will wear her princess dresses to the parks a few days. I'm also going to let her pick a pearl in Japan and get her a carraige on ebay to wear it in (the pearl is her birthstone and at age 4 she already loves jewelry).

I'm looking for some special things for DS7 since I already have a few things planned for his sister. He's already done the build your own lightsaber in DTD. I'm going to try to sign him up for Jedi Training, but I know there's no guarantee he'll get a spot. I know about Pirates League. I know he'll probably be totally happy just going on all the rides and such, but since I have some special things planned for DD I want to keep things fair and come up with something for him too. One idea I had was to get him a starter set of pins and let him try pin trading this time. Anyone have any other ideas that a 7 year old boy would enjoy.

I'd aim for Jedi Training Academy really hard and try and make that happen. Agent P in EPCOT might be fun if he's into Phineas and Ferb.

My 7yo (a pokeman fan) is extremely excited about Sorceres of the Magic Kingdom...and it is free, so bonus! We're going to check out Agent P as well.

We're also planning on DHS rope drop for Jedi Training

My son (who was 7 at the time) had an ABSOLUTE blast doing Pirate's League. He enjoyed it so that he insists on us doing it when we go back.

Now, we do go fairly frequently, so my DS6 might not be that impressed with some things. But...here are HUGE hits with him from past trips:

1. Disney Quest. Hands down he loved it. DH and DS can spend hours in there.
2. Sorcerors of the Magic Kingdom. We didn't really have time to play this past trip, but we were eating ice cream near one of the locations and he was fascinated by it.
3. Agent P missions in Epcot
4. Rent a Sea Racer
5. Pirate Cruise from the Grand Floridian
6. Kids clubs. He begs to go every trip.

Thanks for the great ideas everyone. The Pirate Cruise is the perfect idea! I took your advice and just called and booked him on the one that departs from the Beach Club since that's where we're staying for the 2nd half of our trip. He will be so excited. Its just the kind of special experience I was looking for for him.

We'll also make getting to DHS early enough to sign up for Jedi Training a priority. He did the missions in Epcot last time when they were Kim Possible, and he still talks about them. I bet he'll love it even more now that they are Phineas and Ferb themed.

We'll have to give Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom a try too. Is that something you do all at once in a block of time like the Agent P Missions or that you can do throughout the day in between rides?

Sorcerors' can be done at any time. Between rides is great though meep in mind that the next part of the quest may be in a different land than the next ride you want. My son had a blast with it. Our 2nd day in the MK he just wanted to do this instead of rides.
