Have you been to Orlando before? Does her birthday fall during the Universal week or the villa week? I'm sort of assuming you've been before, in which case a lot of these suggestions probably won't sound very interesting!
After numerous trips, I still think
Hard Rock Cafe at CityWalk is one of the coolest places. If you want something a bit more special,
Tchoup Chop at Royal Pacific is more upscale, but not stuffy and the restaurant itself is beautiful.
Mama Della's at Portofino Bay is something a bit different. It has a much more Disneyfied feel to it than most of the other restaurants at Universal.
Salt Island Chophouse and Fish Market is close by, just north of Sand Lake Road on International Drive. It's a truly stunning restaurant. A bit further north on I-Drive is
Texas de Brazil. It's a tad cavernous inside, but it's nicely done all the same. There are also some new options at Festival Bay (in the same area) which I've yet to try, but which get good reviews, especially
Dixie Crossroads. I can't wait to try the new Tommy Bahama Cafe and
The Capital Grille, both at Pointe Orlando at the opposite end of I-Drive.
A lot of people rave about
Bahama Breeze which has outlets on I-Drive and at Lake Buena Vista. There can be long waits at the I-Drive location (and probably the other one, too). I thought the quality of the food was poor, but the ambiance was good and would probably appeal to a teenager.
Downtown Disney is a good suggestion.
Rainforest Cafe seems to be a 'love it' or 'hate it' kind of place. I've always enjoyed it (although we tend to visit the one at Animal Kingdom).
Wolfgang Puck's is a happening place. Both get busy.
Whereabouts is your villa?
Carrabbas is very popular, although we tend to use it for take-out. Ditto
Outback Steakhouse, another popular place which doesn't do all that much for me.
Can you tell you've hit on my favourite subject?

I could literally go on all day!
