Since any AP qualifies you for DDE, if you like waterparks, the TL/BB AP sells for 106 (137 for TL/BB/DQ). You can get a 10 day Non expiring MYW ticket for 367. 367+106 = 473. Thats more than the 10 day non expiring ticket that includes 6 options ($444) but you qualify for DDE for $60 if you wanted it and have unlimited access to waterparks for the year.

Just a thought for anyone coming at least twice in a year but not quite enough to warrent the purchase of a regular AP. It might also be of interest to anyone tagging on Disney Vero Beach to your trip since the DDE card is now accepted there.

Hmm, I thought the water park AP did NOT qualify for DDE? Are you sure?

I believe you had to have a 'regular' AP, not just a water parks AP in order to get DDE.

I know, its tempting to go with your best guess about how things seem they should be........ when I called to order DDE the first thing she asked for was my AP number.... I said i didn't have the right kind of AP, that I would go under the FL resident price. She said ANY AP qualified, waterpark disneyquest, epcot after 4, anything...... I called back later to confirm, then I ordered DDE while I was there last week with my TL/BB/DQ AP and picked up the temporary card at Epcot. I'm sure.

It wasn't a case of thinking it should be that way but just what I'd read. But it does get confusing whether you've read it somewhere like the WDW site or here on the DIS. :lmao:

At any rate, that is a GREAT hint especially for locals who could get good value out of those APs. :thumbsup2 Thanks for the confirmation.

Yeah, locals are all about APs and can definately get their moneys worth out of APs and DDE. I'd thought occassionally there is someone doing MYW tickets that also wanted DDE so it might be an option. It might be more for people that find the big parks somewhat exhausting and want to emphasis resort dining and such as well.

Say you wanted to do two trips in a year, one week at Orlando and the other week with 4 nights Disney and 3 at Vero Beach. With the TL/BB/DQ pass, you probably don't need the hopping feature because could do the AP sorts of things if still had energy at the end of the day. Maybe you do a big park every other day, use 4 days of 10 day MYW nonexpiring ticket. On second trip, use 2 days of MYW 10 day ticket and head to Vero. Unlimited TL/BB/DQ access on both trips and DDE discounts for both weeks. Then, in two, five, 10 years.... return and still have 4 MYW days left. Anyway, just some ideas.
