The best way to bring DHS back to a working studio park is to start filming game shows, contest type shows or even a talk show (stars can appear) that can air on tv again. Was watching old planning videos and they used to do Star Search and Wheel of Fortune. If they can get back to doing that it would be great.

They can stagger filming different shows during the day. Make it so you get a fastpass to be in the audience at filming time but also have a sound proof glass walk area up above the audience where people without a fastpass can walk thru while filming to get a glimpse of the filming going on and they will not disrupt anything.

They can close down old places like sounds dangerous and make it into one of these. I'm sure they can do the same with other areas in the park without having to build new structures.

SuperStar Television was one of my all time faves! When I was around 11 or 12, I can remember praying that I would get picked to act out one of the scenes.
Even if it wasn't an actual show that was being filmed for network tv, Disney could go back to an updated SuperStar Television. Or adding to your idea, film game shows for the Disney Property tv channels. Move over Stacey! :goodvibes

Our first visit to the Studios (MGM back then) was in 1996. SuperStar Television was one of my favorites, and I was chosen to be part of the act in the Cheers scene! I think The American Idol Experience is a good thing, as that theater sat empty for so long.

I also miss Who Wants to be a Millionaire, Play It - but I do love Toy Story Mania.

I wish they would put another show where Hunchback of Notre Dame used to be.

I remember when DHS was a working studio especially in the back lot areas. That was also when the back lot tour was fun and not so staged. I agree that something should be done to revamp DHS into more of a working studio area. I'm just not sure if that is the direction they want to go anymore. It seems like much of the park is in need of reimagining. The idea of another stage show is a great one. Hunchback was awesome back in the day!

Heh.... that made me wonder if the old soundproofed Glass walkways above the studios are still there? I know at least one of the old studios was turned into Toy Story Mania, and I think one still is stuck with the "Hot Set" label... but for the life of me I can't remember the status of the 3rd. Is that where Walt's story is now located? I'm pretty sure it's using the old end-of-tour theater.

Makes me wonder though if they did reuse one of those old studios and open up the hallway, if that means we'd also get to experience the ole' HISTK Bee Special effects exhibit again. :rotfl:
