Idea For a New Disney Resort - Thoughts?

When going to Disney World each year, I tend to notice things and come up with ideas of what could be done. On my most recent trip, I noticed that Hollywood studios doesn't really have a resort that has direct access to the park. When thinking of the Magic Kingdom you think of the Contemporary, Polynesian and Floridian, and then so on with the Boardwalk/Beach Club with access to EPCOT. My thought was it would be a great idea to have a resort built right next to Hollywood Studios, that would complement the park. With Disneys impeccable ability for theming, why not have a resort that evokes the golden age of Hollywood? It would have Art Deco elements in it's architecture and would feature a very classy or even ritzy sort of feel. I could almost picture classic movie posters on the walls or even in the hotel rooms. What do you think?

Sounds cool. Maybe they'll do something when Star Wars and toy story lands open related to those themes.

The Yacht Club, Beach Blub, Boardwalk, Swan & Dolphin are actually all within walking distance of Hollywood Studios. It's a longer walk (15-20 minutes), but very doable and actually very pretty and peaceful, right alongside the river.

Hollywood Studios doesn't really have a coherent single theme or style that runs throughout the park (unlike Animal Kingdom, for example), so it's hard to imagine a Hollywood Studios-themed hotel. The values actually come closest to a Hollywood theme, with their emphasis on pop culture.

I love this idea. Art deco, jazz/swing clubs and shows, possibly cabaret, vintage everything... sigh. Unfortunately, I agree they seem to have given up on the Old Hollywood theme, but rumors of an immersive Star Wars hotel seem to be a likely candidate for their next highly themed resort.

I even thought the resort could have some kind of a place just for adults or something too. Yeah, something Star Wars theme seems to more on their agenda as that's being continually milked.

Interesting, I was actually not quite aware of that walking distance from those resorts to the park. I might have walked between those resorts and the park, I probably just don't remember. However, but then I think of a resort like the Polynesian where it coincides with adventureland and the Contemporary with tomorrow land. Magic Kingdom as a whole doesn't have a single theme throughout, but those resorts somewhat focus on one of those lands, if that makes sense.

What about the Star Wars hotel idea that I saw recently? Is that a new hotel?

I would love that idea---maybe something that would resemble what the Hollywood Tower hotel would have been like (pre-lightning strike!)
