Last night, facing another attack of sleeplessness, I turned on my local PBS station around 2:00 a.m. to stumble upon a kind of travel log about Idaho. What a beautiful state. The mountain ranges, the lush forrests, the fertile fields and the beautiful volcanic rock formations took my breath away. Idaho DISers, you are lucky people. This now on my short list of must see places.

We spent a week there last month. We had a bonus week with our timeshare and that was one of the places they could put us on short notice.

We stayed up in the panhandle and it was gorgeous. Our timeshare had a view of Lake Pend Oreille and we just sat and gazed out of the window.

It truly is a gorgeous state.

But they sold Washington potatoes in the stores. LOL

....and then you get to Boise........

;)

LOL

OK OK Ill admit Boise does have a few good spots...

But I'm from North Idaho and it has more than its share of Beauty :)

What travel log did you see? I would be interetsed in seeing it too.

binny, I think it was called Idaho, A Portrait. I missed the first few seconds.

I lived in Ketchum/Sun Valley in the late 80's before moving back to Kansas. It was a beautiful state and I would love to move back. We always had something to do and the best thing was that we were only about 2 hours away from Nevada so I could get my gambling fix.

Idaho is a stunningly beautiful state. My parents live in northern Idaho - outside of the town of Clark Fork to be exact. We love to spend time at their home... just soaking up the trees, the wildlife, and the beautiful mountains.

Dixie Dreamer,
We stayed right near there in Hope.

Well I'm awfully partial to Idaho since I spent the first 18 years of my life there. Of course I think even the southern part is pretty!

Normally I just read the threads and never post, but I just had to say, Wow! I've lived here in Idaho for all my 36 years and we're usually just ignored. It is great to hear some complements on this great state, thanks!:D

I had family in Rupert and loved visiting the Craters of the Moon National Monument, Sunfish Lake, and seeing a professional rodeo in Twin Falls or Pocatello. While visiting Idaho, my relatives took this Jersey Girl to Yellowstone National Park. I had a wonderful time.

HI Cruella!! Welcome!!
