...the special holiday edition. What is it like? Did you get misty eyed? I love Illuminations!

Lori

I was there last year at Christmas/ New Years and never saw a different illumintions except for New Years eve.

Revised post: Apparently, Epcot is doing a special holiday show, starting this evening. According to my roommate (works at Epcot) who saw it tonight, they've added 4 minutes of extra fireworks. He wasn't sure if there was added music to go with it, but his description was "Incredible!"

Further to the update below, the Holiday Tag will begin right after the current show, with Walter Cronkite narrating the "Let There Be Peace On Earth" finale from the old Holiday Illuminations show. The set lasts around 4 minutes and uses around 800 pyro elements. The first performance is currently scheduled for November 26 2004, running every night for the Christmas season.

When does the "Christmas season" for this show end? With our luck it will be before January 3. That's the night we're hoping to go on an Illuminations Cruise and it would be so exciting to see this special show.

Went last night just to see the new Holiday finale...for any one who gets sappy like me, don't forget some kleenex. It was really beautiful with holiday greetings of peace and brotherhood from each country in addition the amazing fireworks. Definitely worth catching, even for those who have seen IllumiNations before.

How wonderful. I get to see something new when I go :Pinkbounc
