I'd like advance warning of sound attached to threads!

I couldn't hear the sound file, but according to the link, I'd say it was Dueling Banjos. LOL! But I didn't add it.

I don't hear a heartbeat either. I think JTB is just a little too excited to be here or something.

Of course, like Shannon said, if you add sound and you didn't start the thread there's no way to give a warning.

Adding sound when you didn't start the thread sounds like something that should be ILLEGAL!! ....like trying to edit someone else's post! (You CAN'T do THAT, right??? )

If there's a vote, and we can't have a musical note (that's what I was thinking, too, or the megaphone thing on the Windows taskbar), I guess I'd go for the exclamation point!

Yes, there is a heartbeat on the first page of posts. And I don't like it. Just for curiosity's sake I'd like to know how to add sound, but I wouldn't do it unless it was a thread that was ABOUT that sound file. For example a question about a piece of music or something. Otherwise, I actually find it a bit annoying. We do need a warning, so we can cut the sound down or off.

I'm the dissenter. I like the sounds, I think katholyn's especially, add some life to all those Congrats & Happy BD's!!

But, I will admit, they initially scare the bejeebies outta me but, I laugh at myself then!

A designated smilie or, music note (if someone can design one) might be nice.

The sound surprises me, too. Usually I like it, but sometimes I DIS late at night, when my sister is sleeping (we share a room) and I freak out and have to turn it off quickly.

Shannon, yes it was "Deliverance" -- and my speakers were turned waaaay up when that one started.

Have to say I enjoy the sounds too! Just wish I knew how to add them! But I do understand the reasons you guys want a "warning symbol"....sounds cool to me! Just don't take away the fun noise!!
