ID for young adults and alcohol

Just thought this is worth a mention I was reminded of it by the other thread on ID

My son 19 was asked for ID at Buffallo Bills Wild West Show and didn't have anything with him. I was a little annoyed at the server's attitude actually her words were "I need ID for those 2" to which I replied "well he's only 14 and having coke but my other son is 19, but we haven't brought ID with us" she said "i can't serve him", Jamie said not to worry he'd have coke too so I ordered beer, I don't like being sneaky but we'd joked beforehand about how he'd get his first cowboy beer tonight ! we spent the evening passing the drinks under the table and swapping for refills

2 evenings later he had to produce ID at the Cheyenne bar too, as our room was only across the way he went and got his passport.

I can only assume that his close shave at Dapper Dans, gave him a very youthful appearance.

but worth remembering especially for the BBWWS as once you're in you haven't time to go and retrieve ID from the hotel.

I think it's possibly also down to France putting an minimum age of 18 yrs to buy alcohol now but still annoying if you don't ave any on you

Damn - I'm well annoyed I didnt get ID'd We bounced in after getting upgraded due to our engagement - and the waiter laughed, went "BEER!" and some other stuff and away we went....to the point Johnny said "please don't let me drink anymore, it won't be pretty" haha!! Good on you for passing the beer
