First trip to WDW coming up in December. Have two DDs, one 5 and one 8. Wondering if anyone has tips/ideas for IDing the children....just in case they misplace us?

I leave in just a few hours :cool1:  :rotfl2:

I have a 4 year old whom I am concerned about---and as corny as it might be, I have typed in little bitty letters, a tag with his name, our name and our cell phone #, I laminated these (i work at a school) and punched a hole in it and laced it thru his shoes laces. It is bright orange. I plan to tell him if he gets lost to show that to a CM.

Did I mention I leave in a few hours :cheer2: :bounce: :earseek:

I ordered military style dog tags from here. I put my boys' names, my name & cell # and dh's name & cell # on them. I like that the boys can just tuck them in their shirts, so they're inconspicuous.

I recommend getting an engraved pet tag. If you go to a pets-r-us type place, they often have an automated tag making machine. Simply use your childs name, your name, and your cell phone number. Then lace it through the bottom of your childs shoes. If you become lost, most of the CMs will notice the tag and can take appropriate action. Obviously, you'll need to carry your cell phone (and I would assume you have a nationwide plan).

Secondly, if you have a camera phone or digital camera, take a picture of your child each day before you head off to the park. Carry your phone or camera with you. This way if you do become lost, you can quickly refer to what your child was wearing for a discription -- trust me, in a stressful situation such as that you're likely to forget that day's wardrobe choices! This way the CM's can put out an accurate APB which should help speed the reunion.

My poor kids, when they were younger I'd dress them in identical outfits at WDW. That way, if one got lost, I could just show the CMs what she was wearing by saying "and she was wearing an outfit that looks just like this!" :rotfl:

Great idea about taking the picture. We have both.....DH has phone with that ability and we have our digital camera.

I made my kids their id's. Using mirosoft piture it,I made the kids Id's and use the blank luggage tags holders to seal them. They also have lanyards that will keep them around their neck. A contact number is also included on the id.

You don't have a picture of how you did this do you? I need a VISUAL do get the idea!! LOL

I'm not sure how to upload it but ot is very easy.{ You can also buy the id kits at office max}. I down loaded the picture to the microsoft program and just put in our information. played around with the printer to get the right size so I could seal it in plastic. They can be made in less than 10 min.
