ID bands available in the park?

Just wondering if guest services has any type of tyvek bands or something better for IDing the kids than the sticker they used to have? Dog tags wont work for us and I forgot to order the velcro bands.

I live in Dallas and imagine that there is a store here that sells this product, but don't know where to start. Any suggestions?

Last Dec we lost my just turned 4 year old son for the longest 10 minutes of my life. I realized that he did not have any stickers on the clothes he was wearing. I forgot to mark the change of clothes bag clothes.

He will not keep the rubber braclet on.

I've read about these kids ID's that are attached to their sneaker shoe laces. If you don't have time to order something like this you could make your own one of two ways. Either buy some velcro (I'd get a bright color if possible) and sew onto the inside of it your contact info. Or you could go to a Petsmart type store where they have those pet IDs you can personalize. Buy one of those and attach that to their shoe laces.

Most of the parks also sell the ID DogTag type things that we use to use (her name ,our cellphone).Because they have the characters on them we never had a problem with her wearing them.

You get them out of a vending type machine.

Thanks. They will be in their Crocs, so the shoe id is not going to work. I found a site where you can buy temp tattoos that last about a week! I thought that was too funny. Maybe a sharpie on their backs! OK I am just kidding. I know the kids would not want to wear them around their necks. That is one of the reasons they given for not wanting to wear the pin trading stuff. I just remembered that I should probably make certain that my 6 yo has some notification about her newly diagnosed Asthma. I bet she would never remember to tell someone if she was in trouble. She has never had an attack. Is Asthma a reason enough for a medic alert type of symbol?

absolutely! medical staff...from paramedics to hospital staff needs to know this information!

my solution is to take a digital pic of them with your camera and have them take a digital picture of you with their camera (each time we get a new camera we pass the other one down) that way daily...you have a picture of what they are wearing and they have one of you.

I went in July, and I took a very large white sticky address label, and wrote on it, If I am lost please call (hubby's cell#), my husband's name and Caribbean Beach resort, and stuck it on the back ( he would pull it off if it was on the front) of my 2 yr old's shirt. I packed a sheet of them and just made one out for each day in the parks (easy to pack too).

I had soooooooo many people come up to me and say what a good idea and that they wished they had thought of that!

Thanks for the replies. I found this site and called. The guy was awesome and agreed to rush ship (at my expense of course) several things to me including an id band for my son, a medic id band for my asthma daughter, shoe ids for both for the zoo, fair, etc., and the tyvek disposable bands if I happen to lose the Velcro ones. Now that this is finished, I need to get packing! We leave Wed am! Too bad I still have to do our tax returns by Monday or I could start packing right now!

WOW! I just got the bands from express mail. This guy is awesome. The bands are nice and the kids had no problem wearing them.
