What sort of ID do we need at the airport?? ( Not flying internationally, and it will be DH, me and DD (3.5) )

Also, we are using Etickets and have never done this before..how do they work? I see I can print our boarding pass out online before we go. Where do I present this?? First time traveling w/out someone else who knows what they are doing. :rotfl2:

So a step by step would be great! Thanks.

You'll just need your driver's license and it's better to keep it handy. Here in Newark we've been asked for it at the outside baggage check-in (we always have e-tickets), at the security before the gates and at the gate once in a while. I also have an ID for my DDs with their photo & addy - I had them done at our local Sheriff's office.

Have a great trip! :goodvibes

If you're checking bags at the curb or at the desk they will print/ give you boarding passes. You will show these to get through security and at the gate before you board the plane.

Don't worry - there are people all over the airport to help you!!! :goodvibes

Print out the boarding passes the night before you go (remember, it's only the boarding passes to get there, not get home, too!). I don't know how you plan on getting to the airport, but since you have your boarding passes, I would suggest checking your bags at the curbside check in (it'll save you what will probably be a longer wait at the counter!). Not sure what airport you are using, but here at Newark, I believe if you check in at the counter, you then have to drag your luggage (they don't put it on the conveyer belts anymore) over to another area where it will be scanned before it can be loaded onto the plane (I haven't flown in 2 yrs, so my uncle warned me of this...and that it would be an even bigger hassle to do that with the kids!). That makes curbside check-in even better!!

Coming home, see if you can find a computer to print out your boarding passes the night before (not sure where to do this....we're leaving in 8 days and don't know what we're going to do on the way home yet.....anyone know where we can do this??). If not, you go to the area where your carrier's counter is and there should be "kiosks" that have computers for you to check in with the etickets. I think you can also check in at the curb with the eticket without a problem. Again....I suggest curbside check in (if the lines aren't outrageous) so you can get your bags taken care of instead of standing in line at the counter.

Ok for people who know. What is the alternative to printing out ur own boarding pass if we have an eticket!! I can do it at home for one trip but return i may not find a PC to do it.

Also curbside checkin does Continental have it? WHat about carry ons onl.y Can we just got to security if we have r etickets, pre printed boarding pass and carry ons only?

Are you staying on Disney Property? If so, they always been able to have them print this for me at the front desk.

We're not staying on Disney property. Does anyone know where we might be able to get internet access? In any of the parks? :confused3

As far as curbside check-in....I think it depends on the airport. Right after 9/11 I believe Newark suspended it for a bit, but it's up and running now.

If you have a pre-printed boarding pass and are only taking carry-ons, then you should be able to by-pass it all and go right to security.

Mitushib......if you can't check in the night before and get your boarding pass, you can either do curbside check-in, or there should be kiosks by your carrier's ticket counters that have computers where you check in.

I printed our boarding passes last Dec at the business center at the Contemporary Resort. I just went to the airline web site on their computer. I think I paid 1.00 a page.

For ID's you just need your license. We checked luggage at the curb and we needed to show them there. Also had to show them at security and before boarding the plane. To get back home we only needed to show them at check in and at security.

We didnt have access to a printer before when traveling home so we checked in at the airport and we had no problems. We travelled Southwest. We had a 2 yr old so we were able to pre-board.

I had also gotten ID's for both of my children just in case. My youngest was not even 2 1/2 when we went but looks like he is 4 - very tall. I was concerned we would be questioned because we had bought the dining plan and he isnt on it. But we had no problems but then again, I felt much better having it.

If you don't have access to a printer to print out boarding passes, just go to the airport and check in at the airline's counter. Also, you won't need ID for your little one; I have a passport for DS2 and I've never been asked to show it.
