When looking at menus for TDR I see iced tea and oolong iced tea listed a lot. Does anyone know if these are unsweetened? Thanks!

Unsweetened. Pretty much all tea in Japan is unsweetened unless specified.

NHK’s international arm just posted a guide to convenience stores… this may help (can’t see it here because NHK said so):

It was good, great for the treadmill this morning. I watch a lot of their shows. It's not a guide though. It talks about how they've changed and added more single serve options, how they help the aging population outside of the cities, what non food stuff some have added and what the future store looks like.

I find their shows great to discover places you haven't heard of and to get a snipit of a topic. My favorites are dive in Tokyo and cycle around Japan. Others I'll watch depending on the topic, but I dvr them, I forgot they have youtube.
