Iceberg Walk?

My DD's 6 and 5 really want to do the Iceberg walk that is on the Disney planning video. The information sent by WDW lists that as a preteen attraction but I can't find a height requirement anywhere.

Has anyone's kids done it? Do you think 46 and 43 inch children would be able to do it? My DD6 is a decent gymnast and could go quite a distance climbling but the DD 5 is well, I'm just very grateful I didn't name her Grace  .

Frankly, we've always gone to TL since I know I would enjoy the tropical theming over the winter type theming but if the DD's want to do the iceberg walk I'll make an effort but I know I won't be happy if I go there just for that and they can't do it.

TIA!!

We went to BB in June and my 41 inch tall DD was able to do it. There is a area that they allow the parents to walk in the water with the young kids trying it and then an area for older kids to do on their own.
We loved BB. They break down their kids areas into 2 different areas. One for the wee little ones and then an area for the approx. 4-8 year olds.

Have fun!

Thanks Bill!!!

That is exactly what I wanted to hear! I have enough trouble with my 43 inch DD not being able to go on Space Mountain yet, I was really worried I would get to attraction and be turned away.

That happened with the reefs at TL. I didn't realize what it was until we were in line and the girls were upset. I think if we went to the parks specifically for that and were turned away it would upset me too!

I'm so glad the DIS and its wonderful members are here!!

Thank you soooooo much!

One other thing to make sure your whole family goes on while your at BB is the family raft ride. It is 10x better than TL.
Have fun.

I agree with hockey mom, Teamboat Springs is a can't miss! My DS was 6 and the two of us had a blast on that ride. I haven't been to TL but BB is great and there are many rides for your girls to enjoy!!!

I hope the water is warm enough in October so that we can go.

Thanks for all of the replies! I will absolutely do teamboat springs.

Any other reccomendations on any of the bigger slides that might be appropriate for smaller kids? I'm looking at the Passporter to bone up on my BB knowledge.

How about Snow Stormers? Tobaggan racers? Runoff rapids? There isn't any height requirement on these but you never know. Some might be steeper and scarier than others, I mean for me of course. The girls would go down Summit plummet!:p

We love the toboggan racers, and runoff rapids. At runoff rapids they do have the double tubes where you can team up with one of your kids. Snow stormers can go pretty fast-just to fore warn you.

We did just about everything except the two big slides. My DS was not an expert swimmer and we still had a great time. We went in September last year and the crowds were very minimal. The longest wait was for the chairlift which was about 5 minutes. Plan on enough time to enjoy BB, there is alot to do so don't cram it into 2 hrs.

I think the "preteen" area should be called the elementary age area. Many preteens are too big and not allowed on activities in here.

It is great fun, they should love the park !
