I'm up in Northern NJ and we got hit with the storm as well, we lost power Thursday night at 9:15 and just got it back on today at noon but many people in my lake community and the one next to us are still without power. When you drive down the into town theres nothing there but we are at a higher elevation and caught the tip of the storm as it passed over NY state. We rented a generator and had extension cords running through the house to plug in a couple of heaters and the fridge the warmest we could get was 56degrees but I was thankful for woodburning stove and the generator or we would've had to leave. People were buying generators like crazy and we've been here 20 years and have never seen it this bad. When we went out Saturday we saw transformers laying in the road and power lines down and trees laying everywhere from the weight of the ice. We have a friend who lives a couple blocks away and can't even get to his house yet because the street has'nt been cleared. My ds has a friend who had a tree fall down and pulled the power and phone lines off there house and land on their car and they were told they may not have power till the end of this week. I feel for you people who still don't have power I sure does stink!! Good Luck, Linda
