Ice Cream Social @ Garden Grill?

My family and I will be at WDW in April and we are trying to do some different things this time. Does anyone know if Disney still does the Ice Cream Social at the Garden Grill Restaurant in The Land at Epcot every afternoon at 3? I have heard that the cost was $6.99 + tax. Also, that Mickey & Friends visit you at your table. This sounds like it would be a cheap character meal/snack. Also, does anyone know if priority seating is needed?

We went to the ice cream social last May and had a great time. It was $6.99 then but I don't know if that's changed. Drinks are extra but not water of course. Mickey, Chip, Dale and Goofy were there when we went. It was much quieter than a character meal and the character spent a good amount of time at our table with DD (she was 3 1/2 at the time). I would definitely do it again. BTW we did have a PS but it wasn't crowded so I don't know whether it was really necessary.
