Ice Cream Social Garden Grill

I personally thought it was a great experience. It was a great way to see characters at a reduced price.

I think the price for the very big ice cream cone / sundae concoction was $7.95.

I could be partial to the experience because I got engaged to Chip (as in chip and dale) during our ice cream social :D

It's a great break from the day too.

Taken from my summer, 2000 Trip Report

(Just our opinion!)

"We took the bus to EPCOT and to the Land for the ice cream social. There were few people here and we were seated quickly. The turning restaurant made me feel dizzy! Maybe it was the combination of heat, sun, and turning, but I couldn’t relax because of that dizzy feeling. We had our ice cream--it was cute, and our ice water(anything else is extra--they told us several times) and we saw Mickey, Chip, Goofy, and Dale. With a bill for $40 for the 5 of us, we didn’t feel it was worth it. It was a great snack and a great rest, but we could have done that for cheaper, in my opinion."

obsessed - I agree with you a little about the spinning. It didn't affect anyone else in our group but I felt it a little. Not enough to prevent me from doing it again though.

Our group didn't want to spend the money on a character breakfast so $7.00 a person was a much better price for one on one character interaction than $16 for a breakfast.

I know that sundaes at ghiradelli or B&C will set you back around the same amount without the characters.

We had a wonderul experience when we went the first of December. Our reservations were for 3:30. This was a wonderful time. Not very crowded. Lunch was over and not quite time for dinner. The characters were wonderful. We got to see each one of the twice. They took up lots of time with our children and we got awesome pictures. The ice cream was good if you like ice cream. It was a good treat and a nice break. I would say we definitely got our money's worth.

I highly recommend doing the Ice Cream Social. We had such a good time with the characters. Dale in particular spent quite a bit of time hamming it up with us. Mickey made Gabby kiss him on the nose before he left. We absolutely thought it was a great experience. The ice cream was good too. lol We did our Ice Cream Social on our trip in late September 2002.
