Has anyone been to the Ice Cream Social in Epcot and can give us some feed back.

Also anyone taken part in the Re-hitching Ceremony????

Hi,

I have done the ice cream social. I wasn't that impressed. You ordered ice cream and while you were eating it characters came around. We had an awful server, once she realised we only wanted ice cream! She tried to sell us wine! When I asked for an empty bowl for our DD then 1, so I could give her a taste of our ice cream, she gave us a bowl that was hot!

We did this & had a really great time. Ice cream was huge & of course they tried to sell you booze as there probably isn't much profit on an icecream! Characters were Mickey, CHip & Dale dressed as farmers & Pluto. There was loads of time with the characters. DH & I were rehitched. The server leads the ceremony & at least one character is there. It is a bit of fun & you have to kiss whilst the servers count to 100 (1-10, then in tens so it is not as daunting as it sounds). You get a certificate to show you have been rehitched. Personally I thought it was excellent vfm & the character interaction was excellent. We were there early February, so I don't know whether the time of yeare affected DisneyBB's experience. If you go for it, don't forget to make a PS & specify the rehitching. Also remind the greeter of the rehitching when you book in.

We did this back in 2001. Our poor server messed up a bit, she hadn’t seen us arrive so we were left waiting for ages and then she brought our ice creams but nothing to eat them with so again we waited ages and something else happened which I can’t remember now. However having said all this she felt so bad she refused to charged us for the two adults! But to be honest we were having such a great time with the characters that we weren’t in the least bit bothered by the hiccups and I actually felt really bad not paying. Its great if you really like ice cream but the character interaction was brilliant. Mickey came round several times and spent ages with the girls and we have a terrific picture of Chip and Dale sitting between the girls and helping them with their colouring in!!!

I honestly can't remember trying to be sold any drinks.
