I was looking at hotels on the cheap and found Ibis but they only sleep 2 to room. That is just crazy. I saw the picture of the bed and we could easily all fit. I don't want to get two rooms, so what options are there for 2 adults and 1 child on the cheap for a weekend in October?

Ibis hotel rooms really are quite small. Over-occupying the room would definately be a squeeze!

What dates are you going, and what age is your child? Hopefully we could come up with some other options :-)

You mean the Val D' Europe Ibis?

Maybe it's the German site, but they allow me up to 4 people when I try to book a room. I would not recommend this though, the beds are really tiny. Boyfriend and I can't easily share the bed there.

The hotel that Ruthie linked is even worse, we found it really hard to share that bed as two adults.

I can get up to 4 people in a room as well if I look at the Accor site.

Ibis beds are 160cm so you'd be hard pushed getting 3 in one of them

I'd be contacting them directely as they do family rooms.

The one Ruthie has linked to is what was Etap Hotel, it's now been rebranded by Accor as Ibis budget

They have room for 3 with the bunk bed above the main bed but they are almost the lowest of the low - only Hotel Formule 1 is lower as they don't have the shower or toilet in the room :sad2:

You could have a look at the Campanile or the Tulip Inn at Bussy St Georges which are not bad and would take 3 people reasonably cheap

Boyfriend and I been at the Etap a couple of times before it was rebranded. It was really nothing fancy, but we thought it was okay for the price - minus the small bed issue. Actually we found it more quiet than for example the Kyriad.

Do you know thow far's the Campanile from the RER station, Carrie? I can't quite make out from the map and I'm looking for an affordable place for a possible December pin event trip. I probably won't have the car with me then, so I'd like RER proximity.

The Kyriad gets loud as they get school parties. Etap are ok but they are really no frills and tight on space

We generally go for Campanile especially as they are refitting them all out nice and modern

The Bussy one is around 10 minutes walk from the rer

You can walk it with street view :thumbsup2

Thank you Carrie. I always forget about Street View.

Thanks for the help everyone.

This is the one I am trying to book.

I thought it would be good since it is not budget Ibis, close to RER and looks clean. I have tried accor, ibis and hotels.com but can't get it to book.

Thanks for the help with this. Having to buy HS train for 3 RT, AP's, food, etc I am trying hard to keep this trip within budget. I know our trips to WDW usually were crazy expensive.

Ruthie,
Thanks for the offer to help. We want to be in the parks for about 2 or 3 days. We plan on buying AP's and from what I understand we will have black out on Tuesdays. Also I think they can't be used for the first 2 days from purchase but I can just go in and buy them while in Paris.

We can go from late on the 12 oct to the 21 Oct as our school is on break. We thought to stay away from the park on the weekend, less crowds.

Our son is 8 and we will have his SN push chair along. We are planning on taking the HS and not our car for this trip.

that location really is brill for the RER to DLP, its in a courtyard at the rear of the train station at Val d Europe. Also in that courtyard are the Etap (now the Ibis budget) and the Resid'home Prestige.

We stayed at the Etap there (now the Ibis budget) and I thought it was great. Clean, quiet, and everything you need for a budget trip. You won't have a lot of room with 3 of you in the room, but if its only to sleep and shower, its more than adequate for that.

the Campanile at Bussy st george shares the same site as the B&B hotel there, and the Premier Classe. We've stayed at the Premier Classe there, I preferred the Etap at val d'europe to be honest but we got a very cheap deal and its a similar standard hotel. Again, small rooms, but clean and quiet.

It is 10 minutes easy walk to the train station from the hotels there.

I called the Ibis and found out that the regular one only sleeps 2 people and the budget sleeps 3. So for about 120 euro we have a room for 2 nights for all of us. I just didn't get that the regular one didn't sleep more than 2.

I have read both good and bad on it and we just need a bed and pillow to sleep.

How much is the RER from the hotel to Disney? I think it might get a bit with 3 each way but I plan on getting the two of carnet 10.

Now to book our HS train! Thanks for all the great assistance friends.

Hi,

If you don't mind me asking - were are you from? Only because we are in DLRP within theose dates and was wondering what schools are off?

Thanks :)

I don't mind at all, we live in Rotterdam and the school is the American International school of Rotterdam. They keep in line with US schedule. Although we never had a week off from the 13-20 in October.

Thanks for the information :)

We are in DLRP from 14th-17th October so may bump into you :)

As our plans finalize we can stay in touch and plan a mini meet. Right now they are changing faster than I can keep up. We are getting the more expensive AP so we can get into the park without having to wait a two days but we will still have the Tuesday blackout.

We want to take DS to Versailles, the tower and around Paris so that we can earlier in the trip. For now we are just trying to figure out the when and hows of the trip.

Unfortunately for me, DH didn't want to think about it last nite and I don't know what today will bring. For now I have a general idea on pricing of AP's, hotel, HS train and RER.

I do know it will sometime during that week, just when is the question.:confused3

Add my good review for the Premiere Class in Bussy St George. The rooms are very small, but clean and the price is very good and they also have free WiFi (it's medieval that Disney hotels still don't have this).
However, while short, walking to the hotel from the RER station after a long day in the park can be hard. Is the Etap nearer to the RER station of Val D'Europe?
