We just recently returned home after a wonderful 7 days at Disney. I thought I would pass along a few tips.
*First of all, if your going during the heat, be sure to bring along a spray bottle to fill with ice water. They are $15 to purchase at Disney. I never thought we would need one...but we did.
*Our lifesaver snack ended up being trail mix that we brought along from Sams Club. Just a handful of peanuts, raisins and M&Ms gave us the energy boost we needed to get along without having to purchase snacks. For 4 of us, 2 sandwich baggies of trail mix per day would have been nice.
*When you just have to have a frozen treat, get the frozen chocolate banana. The potassium will also give you an energy boost. The ice cream made us feel too heavy in the heat of the day.
*Stick some wet wipes in your back pack...for wiping off tables, kids and adults, etc... you will use them.
*Don't leave home without some type of Shout It Out or Spray N Wash. I took the individual packages which was easily stuck in the backpack and we used several times. I wish I would have just taken a bottle too and kept in the room for when we ended the day. You can't imagine the adults walking around DW in need of this!
*If you are planning on wearing a sundress, you will want something under it to absorb the moisture from the heat. My 18-year-old daughter purchased some roll-on (deoderant looking) product for chaffing, but what she really needed was some of those very thin cotton leggin's shorts things. The roll-on stuff only worked for the 1st hour or so in the heat.
